We hope you liked the video, is there a particular detachment you are interested in? we will be doing a whole week on each of the detachments next week so don't worry we will explore them all soon. What do you think of the changes to Adeptus Mechanicus? Do you think the updated index detachment now has play competitively? let us know below and we will aim to respond to as many people as we can :)
Looking forward to trying the new Rad Zone detachment, as well as the Acquisition Maniple and the Skitarii focused one. I do love some Kataphrons but the Electro Priests have never done much for me. I'm liking the range of options coming out of the codex!
You should probably review the balance dataslate from September. First, the Skitarii Marshal can only reuse battle tactic stratagems; per the balance dataslate when an ability that allows the use of a stratagem even if it was already used that phase and the ability does not specify the stratagem by default only battle tactic stratagems can be used with such an ability. Second, the changes noted for Skitarii Ranger and Vanguard are not new; per the dataslate balance both units were given a 4+ armor save and a 5+ invulnerable save.
You guys have it wrong with Rad Corps rule. Battle shock doesnt reduce opponent to OC0 because it happens at the beginning of command phase of ad mech player turn. Battle shock will wear off during the opponent command phase, they will score as normal. Only thing it will affect is defensive and reactive stratagems during your turn.
@@Shmimbleton This still doesn't affect scoring as you don't score in the first turn. Essentially the battleshock from the bombardment will last for the first turn of both players and OC is only going to be of importance for some secondaries. By the time you get round to scoring primaries (turn 2) battleshock has worn off. This is also the issue with all the ways that battleshock can be inflicted by the Radzone cohort outside of the initial bombardment, it happens in the admech players turn and therefore wears off before primaries are scored on the opponnets turn. Essentially the only thing battleshock is going to be doing is preventing the use of strategems on those units that fail it. Not useless, but very weak.
The entire codex is weak I heard the admech rules guy quit before 10th and we got lumbered with the drukhari rules writer who absolutely hates admech and that's why our rules suck this edition
Thank you for a good review! There are some stuff that you guys say that makes it feel like you are repeating something GW marketing wants you to say, and saying Admech is a predominantly shooting army is one of them. What feels really lacking this edition is good CC updates. While there has been some survival focused updates, I feel there are not real buffs to CC. After having played a CC focused Admech army last edition and all the great fluff on the CC units, me and many Admech players with me were really hoping for a e.g. Sicarian character, but we got a sniper instead (really looking forward to trying the Skatros, but maybe not what the army really needed). Just wanted to ask, are there any leanings from GW towards removing the great CC aspect of Admech? Have you heard anything about it? I would be a reals shame as that is a part of the army and the fluff that a lot of people appreciate. Thanks again for all the great videos!
Having Skitarii detachment and playing the army as a horde army and having the squads capped to 10 man instead of 20 like the necron warriors is criminal! Who the hell though that not able totake 20 vanguards to rangers is a good idea for Admec???
I got rid of my Admech and Necrons but these look fun. Happy for those players, wapecially those who like one aspect of a large army thematically getting the ability to be more competitive with them. And for thoae who have a larger collection the objective one looks amazing.
Its much worse. Tyranid shadow of the warp can actually affect scoring, rad bombardment cannot, it happens during ad mech player turn and wear off when its time to score.
@@МихаилСтрогов-ш4ж I beg to differ, shadow of the warp (sotw) have a small chance to affect scoring for a turn, most thing have leadership of 7 or better. With rad bombardment you have a chance to soften the enemy without risk (1/3 chance to do de MW) and it's battleshock for the whole turn so no stratagem to help take advantage turn 1 or you take a d3 MW which is huge on a army with maybe 13 units. it seems way better, I'd take rad bombardment or the doctrinal over shadow of the warp any day.
15:30 Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the Skitarii Marshal's servo-skull uplink ability accually fall under the only battle tactic rule? That rule only states "Rules that allow you to use a Stratagem even if another unit has been targeted by that Stratagem this phase or turn, but that do not specify the name of the Stratagem, can only be used to use Battle Tactic Stratagems." I mean, it makes the ability very restricted, but it seems to be that way rules as written.
