He came out with that Philly Shell and I knew it was either going to work REALLY well, or be a really quick fight with him out on his back. I know everybody in hindsight is saying they had him beating Izzy, which is bullshit. Even though I honestly felt like he was going to win, I know how hypocritical that sounds, but I don’t mind 😂 I admit, the confidence I had in him winning was mostly Izzy having duds throughout his career and lots of wishful thinking of getting the furry out of the championship status. Luckily, I got what I wanted 😂 Anderson is still the GOAT of that division. Nothing wrong with new fans, we need them. But very few fights feel like you’re watching something special and magic is about to happen than when DMX would hit and Anderson would walk out of that tunnel. Kobe will always be the Black Mamba, and Anderson’s Spider nickname is already great, but if ever a fighter deserved the moniker “The Black Mamba,” it was him. You knew there was a good chance he was going to strike like lightning and you were going to see something you’d never seen before. You knew it would be special. I never get that with Izzy. I'm almost surprised Dana doesn't back Sean Strickland more. I may have some MMA news to catch up on, but Sean's got a big following that is only growing by the day, the guy has those, what he described " Patriotic values", he's a character as well.
