I have a question for Japan or Japanese citizens. What do you do with food considered “scraps” or about to “expire” Do you throw it away or donate it to food pantries? (In America most grocery stores donate their “about to expire” but fairly eatable food to food pantries, which feeds the homeless) We have so much food waste here regardless.

The cake looks really delicious! I would like to ask a question, is it common to use newspapers inside the pan to bake the cake? In my country, newspapers are printed with inks that can contain heavy metals and other chemical components that can be harmful to your health, so it is not allowed to use them in anything related to food, even if it is just for wrapping.

역시 본가의 솜씨.. 대만의 초거대 식용유 카스테라나 한국의 이상한 건강재료(쌀가루, 녹차가루 등등)첨가ㅋ 카스테라보다 제대로 맛있을듯. 그런데 나는 사실 저 처음에 잘라낸 귀퉁이가 제일 좋음ㅋ 살짝 타서 단단한 식감과 탄화되면서 나오는 탄내가 일품ㅋ 다음에 코로나 풀리면 일본가서 제빵여행이라도 해보고싶다ㅋㅋ

There is no such thing as fresh eggs. They are already being handled. If you want fresh eggs then you need to raise the chicken your self and also wait for their cycles which is of course not every day 😁
