Adidas Prime X STRUNG - Unstable at slow speeds! 

Great review. I have the Strung and just find them to be okay. Anything slower than an 8:30/mile pace just feels wonky. Fit of the upper is too loose in the forefoot - feels like the AP3 if it were available in super wide. I find the AP3 a far more versatile and stable shoe, and the difference in weight really becomes apparent as your run gets longer. From mile 10 on, there is no denying the increased weight over AP3, Alphafly, etc. Yes, it’s light for 50mm of stack, but it’s still heavy compared to the AP3 and Alphafly. Being a mid-foot striker, I can deal with the instability at the heel, but this shoe should be avoided if you are a heel striker. This amount of stack on a heel that is about 1cm narrower than the AP3 in the same size is not to be underestimated. Just my $.02

Great review Brandon! Whatever you said is accurate about he Primex. This is one UNSTABLE running shoe, almost impossible to walk in this shoe. HOWEVER, once I got used to it the Primex has become my GOTO half marathon shoes. I just completed 21km run without any LSD training and still I was able to complete the 21km without any issues. Thank you!

Super comprehensive and in depth review!

I commute to work in these every second day with backpack doing 6:20 pkm pace and it's my favourite shoe. I give it a break every other day with either the Nike Invincible 2 or NB more v4. You do need strong lower legs though, can't skip leg day especially calve raises to combat the occasional wobble because of uneven surfaces

I agree that the lightstrike pro is the best mid . It is not too soft, not too stiff , bouncy as hell. But Adidas tend to fail on geometry and upper comfort ability.

Very nice review,thanks alot!! Yes I agree with your comments that its unstable at long distances and slow paces (I have the first version). Do you know when it is expected the next version to come? From a video that is leaked it kooks amazing, more stable lighter and probably more energetic
