Made a Marathon pb yesterday in Copenhagen in the Pro 3. I don’t lover the upper, but the ride is stable, protective and with a lot of energi return. I prefer it to Alphafly 1, Vaporfly 2 and Endorphin Pro 3 that I have also raced in. Got a pair of Adios Pro 3 in 2022, but the eyeletes realy hurt and they were a bit short. Bought a pair on sale half a size up and love it
Pro 3 definitely softens up after 20-30 miles. I wasn't a fan at first, but it's grown on me. I got my PB in Paris in the Pro 3, the upper and the lacing system is pants, but the midsole is bang on! 👍
Ran my 3000m PB in the Tak Sen 9 last year and then my first marathon last month in the Pro 3. Agree with going half a size up in the Pro 3 (which I did). It was great on a wet, slippery course but if it was dry I would have used the Vaporfly. Both are good value on sale and the Pro 3 works well for long runs. Tak Sen is just a bit niche to use a lot. Not comfortable enough for training. Seems best around 1500m to 5000m. Great on the track as an alternative to spikes.
Just ran my first marathon in the AP3 and it was brilliant. Put 50 miles in training miles on the shoe first and they felt amazing over the marathon. My feet were great and they helped me hit my pace goals and hold up over the entire race.
I have found the Takumi Sen 9 is a really good training shoe for running at the track, but not enough propulsion for racing for me. I would always choose a carbon race shoe - Adios Pro 2/3, Saucony Endorphin Pro 3, Nike Vaporfly, or ASICS Metaspeed Sky Paris - for any race distance over the Takumi Sen. The Sky Paris is lighter and more enjoyable to run in than both of these adidas shoes.
Recent purchaser of Adios Pro 3 shoes. Really loving them! They are my first pair of “super-shoes”. My other shoes are Endorphin Speed 4’s which are also awesome, but are softer, and I definitely feel that the adios are firmer and give more response on each step, with good amount of pop, helping me go faster. I’ll be using Speed 4’s good for cruisy steady runs, and faster paces use the Adios pro 3. Seems like the takumi would also be awesome for shorter fast runs, but loving the adios. Great review and comparison of these shoes!
Good review…. But the half size up are only for UK sizing, if you buy in US size, they are true to size… Adidas don’t have the same conversion chart for UK size vs other brand.
Need to go up half a size on UK sizes for all adidas shoes. They're made according to US sizes but use a different conversion to other companies - ie.. US size 11 is UK 10.5 for adidas, but UK 10 for all other companies.
Lacks punch nick?? Takumi sen 10 just broke the world record for the fastest 1 miler 😂😂, great video guys I’ve got the pro 3 and the takumi sen great pairing 🔥
I have both of those models. Do you recommend that I run with one of them on each foot and then swap them to other side, or do you think that it's best just to do the same shoe on each foot 😂
I went half a uk size up in the sen 10, which oddly makes it my normal size in US and in centimetres, why do adidas do that? My feet aren’t the narrowest, and the fit seems perfect thankfully. Love the striped back feel of them, reminds me a bit of putting on my old saucony fastwitch, you know your putting them on to go fast 🙂
The Pro 3 has the "pretzel like" rod twist in the back correct and not a plate? The Sen 10 for some reason is so hard to get a hold of in the US. Only recently did RW have a batch in that hideous black/pink colorway
Anyone know if the Takumi Sen 10 fit the same as Adios 8? I have the Adios 8s in Size 9 (uk) And wanted to upgrade to the Adizero Takumi Sen 10, but can only buy online..
I wish I knew to go a 1/2 size up in the Pro 3 the upper eyelets give me blisters over my big toe knuckle. I have removed the loop and knot but still no relief.
I've tried both and my foot are really wide, just for ilustration, all asics normal size won't feet me unless I wear the wide one. So both are really comfortable in my true to size foot. Decided to buy Adios Pro 3, because I need one carbon fiber shoes in my rotation.
Nick knows how to fit shoes to his feet, sorry Tom but you always seem to fit them small when you show how much room you have at the front you maybe an 8 in civi shoes but running shoes always need to be fitted different. Maybe the channel needs an expert on to give tips on how to fit running shoes ❤
Not a fan of the adidas racing shoes, midsole is a bit too firm for me and the upper is basically pants and takes the skin of my toes. I know they work for a lot of people but I'll stick to other manufacturers.
