Adorable Eastern Pygmy Possums Find New Home at North Head (NSW) 

Meet Wally - one of Australia’s tiny possum pollinators! 😍
Wally and 11 other Eastern Pygmy Possums have been translocated from Ku-ring-gai Chase and Garigal National Parks to North Head Sanctuary (NSW), where we work in partnership with the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust to restore and protect locally extinct species.
The translocation is part of an ongoing program to strengthen the native species’ population and protect the critically endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub.
Three of the miniature marsupials were fitted with Advanced Telemetry Systems Australia’s M1410 series miniature mammal tracking collars - one of the smallest collared transmitters available.
