Just the thought of not being able to drink coffee is seriously stressing me out.
@GetUnwoke

I feel you. I quit this month and it was honestly the best thing I've ever done. I had all the signs of adrenal fatigue and quitting caffeine has helped tremendously get my energy back. It's hard but it's worth it. Just don't quit cold turkey or you'll be miserable. I used green tea and decaf tea to taper down gradually and then bought a bag of teeccino and dandy blend for a caffeine free herbal coffee substitute. They taste like diluted instant coffee but does the trick lol

@@GetUnwoke I gave up and went cold turkey 2 weeks ago and I would drink two huge pots a day. First week felt so tired and yuk, second week I feel amazing full of energy and happy! I coupled it with keto and taken up cycling.
@GetUnwoke
@GetUnwoke 3 года назад
@@natashanugent7819 last month I tried going cold turkey but the headaches were too much so I decided to use the tapering method. It took about 1.5 weeks to stop all caffeine without the headaches so that method worked really well for me. I still have brain fog and a bit slow to get out of bed but that's my body slowly repairing itself. Licorice root helps with adrenal fatigue and helps with the cortisol issue so I bought some of that as well. As for exercising I heard cardio is really good for a quicker recovery so good to hear that's working well for you. I'll probably start reintroducing my body to cardio next week now that I finally have the energy 😁

@@GetUnwoke that’s brilliant, as long as we get results and continue to better ourselves ! I will look for that liquorice root and do some research. Thanks for the heads up. Do you know how long it takes for the adrenal glands to repair? I’m thinking 6/12 months is that about right?
@GetUnwoke
@GetUnwoke 3 года назад
@@natashanugent7819 I honestly have no idea how long it'll take but it says days to months according to the mayoclinic website for adrenal glands to start producing cortisol like normal or it can take a year or longer according to other sources. Definitely look into licorice root. Mine arrived today so I got to try it and it surprisingly helped with the brain fog. It feels like I took an energy drink as well. Wasn't expecting that.

January 2022 I quit caffeine. My life greatly improved afterwards. It (life) got worse before it got better but I’m so glad I did. It’s mid September 2022 and I’m just now realizing I’ve been struggling with adrenal fatigue for decades now. I’ve been putting my health first since 2019 but this year I’ve really been focused.

@GetUnwoke
@GetUnwoke 3 года назад
@@debbieschepers5849 think of it like this, you weren't born needing caffeine to have energy. you simply became dependent on it and whether you realize it or not caffeine is making you worse off than if you didn't take it in the first place. if you take out caffeine you will realize how much more abundant your natural energy is. I was scared of quitting caffeine because I thought it was the only thing keeping me from passing out but once I quit I realized caffeine was the thing causing my fatigue. if you want to quit, instead of going cold turkey I recommend slowly tapering down using green tea and decaf tea. Alternate days using the teas till you can quit for good. and then get something like Dandy Blend to stay off of it.

Yuri You mention that a whole food diet is the best way to go but then you recommend processed fats (aka oils). If you are truly recommending a whole food diet, you would suggest avocados instead of avocado oil, flax seeds (ground just before adding to food) instead of flax oil, coconut manna or whole coconut instead of coconut oil and so on. Whole fats are not stripped of the nutrients and fiber like oils are. As a side note, it is good to keep fats in the fridge or freezer to keep them from going rancid.
@fajarwisga6555
@fajarwisga6555 5 лет назад
There are many kinds of processed fats. One comes with hydrogenation and refining (high temperature) that breaks up the unsaturated fat and convert it to trans fat, which is harmful as it's inflammatory. Another processed fat comes from extraction with low temperature, like extra virgin coconut oil, olive oil and MCT, which are extremely safe and beneficial. However, the amount of healthy fats taken by someone is unique, usually depends on the fitness of liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and gastric acid level.

Hi, if everything else is fine for you, you don't have to change. But still, isn't your statement showing that you might benefit from a coffee break? If no coffee means no energy, your stress hormon system seems to be off track and could use some rest/healing. I took an hour to properly wake up in the morning. Nowadays, while still deep in the wakeup-fog, I immediately do 5 minutes of physical exercise. 15 squats, 5-10 push-ups, 20 times touching my feet and then reaching for the ceiling, plus something for the abs. Helps me wake up quickly without coffee - and I start the day with a soothing success ;)

Wait a second..... every time you eat, you’re spiking insulin. If someone is eating a bunch of small meals each day, they’re not giving their body a chance to rest and catch up, which leads to insulin resistance and stress, increasing cortisol and causing adrenal fatigue. So......wouldn’t the logical option be to eat LESS frequently, with healthy, real, nutrient-dense foods (not carb loading!), and give the body the time it needs to process the materials given before forcing more on it? I know, it doesn’t make sense if you haven’t looked into it. But the science is behind what I’m saying. And when you look closer at insulin and insulin resistance, you start to see that many of the problems we are plagued with in the modern world are as a result of insulin resistance, and can be dealt with, not with drugs, but rather, by giving the body the proper nutrition it needs and the time it needs to process that nutrition.

I am trying to understand how all of this works. I figured out that I have been putting my body under double pressure with all my tea and coffee drinking. Firstly, I am drinking caffeine which is overstimulating my adrenal glands and blocking the adenosine receptors and I think I've got a mild case of adrenal fatigue. But also I always have milk in my tea and coffee and milk is a type of sugar which means I'm also spiking insulin. I think it's a pretty bad combination because all the signals are messed up. Your body's real signals can't get through because of all the stimulants and insulin flying around.

Apparently the adrenals function along with the thyroid gland. In this case, should the thyroid be compromised, I read that one should avoid raw brassicas. I'm just beginning to study this connection as I've been diagnosed with border-line hypothyroidism and trying to avoid pharmaceuticals.
@StarOnTheWater
@StarOnTheWater 3 года назад
You should avoid huge quantities of raw brassicas, as in a diet that is based on them. Some studies showed that people eating only cabbage (eg during a famine or in a war zone) suffered from a decreased thyroid function. In normal quantities however, raw brassicas are so incredibly healthy in many other ways that it should outweigh the bad. But these are only statistics, listen to your body and if in doubt consult a physician.
@veefriend4201
@veefriend4201 3 года назад
@@StarOnTheWater Yes, thank you. I rarely consult a physician because the vast majority are drug pushers. After I tested at borderline my doctor tried to bully me into going on a pharmaceutical straight away. Even my resistance didn't slow her down. I really had to insist that "I was going to do a bit of studying on it first". I soon discovered that, for my age, in my late 70's the number was quite normal. As the doctor replacing her also said. I now take a supplement called thyro-sense and that seems to have calmed the bit of inner body trembling that I was experiencing. I'll continue to eat raw cabbage salad occasionally. All in all, very strong and healthy.

And he also says not to eat apples because of the sugar content. What he didn't say is that apples are high in fiber and good for you...but not if you are on Keto. And he also said that exercise wont let you lose weight and sleep is the only way to lose weight along with eating his Keto way. Well, I disagree with him on that. Sleep is good for you that is for sure, but walking at least 3 times a day will get that belly fat off you faster than not exercising. I tried Keto, but it sets you up to failure and you will stop it within the year. I lost a lot of weight on it but was deprived of food that is good for you. All the fat you are suppose to eat just does not seem it would be good on the liver and if you have hypothyroidism such as I do, than Keto is not good to be on. So, do what your body tells you to do...listen to it. It will tell you if you need certain foods and try not to stress too much about losing weight...that will just make it worse. Eat small amounts throughout the day, take regular walks, and enjoy life. It's too short to worry about everything.

Yeah. Now I'm getting a sleep study done now because I suspect my adrenal fatique is coming from sleep apnea. It really makes sense if you think about it. Over the years sleep apnea can create said adrenal fatique. I also have issues losing weight even when I eat an extremely clean diet and take lots of time off from strenuous activity. All of the symptoms of adrenal fatique are basically the same as sleep apnea. Weird.

Sonny Mery because caffeine is a toxin, your body will turn on ‘defenders’ to fight off invaders(caffeine). If you drink caffeine all the time you put your body at constant stress. Still it’s mainly too much that’s a problem. Small amount of toxins accompanied by tons of antioxidants shouldn’t cause any problems

Ros black tea was proven to reduce cortisol by 43% i recall. Coffee is absolutely no. The first point is to realize if you have too much cortisol or too less, those are different. Also if you are lacking free usable cortisol or GR dysfunction. It's very complicated, but anyway, black tea is about 80-90% fermented, meaning only 10-20% caffein matter left, better than green tea, but light green tea is fine, unless you are drinking authentic Chinese loose leaf green.

@@GetUnwoke whoa! a lot to comment on here but yeah, I can't believe you even kept up a schedule like that for so long. Mine was something similar but after 6 months I was done. Food poisoning laid me out immobilized for a week and never recovered. Looks like I'm going for Round 2 now. I'll see if I can find a decent homeopath in my area that might be able to help. Did you do that? Or did you just quit caffeine and your adrenals healed up? In my research there are doctors who have taken CFS very seriously and even used most of their careers studying it (see Dr. Myhill). Also, if you've never heard of Dr. Jose Montoya, his story might be interesting to look into also. Apparently, just before he was about to release a cure that had real-life test results in reversing CFS in his patients, he came under a sex scandal as was imprisoned. The treatment was never released. coincidence? maybe that's another wormhole but nonetheless interesting. A lot of people that get this disease seem to be very high achievers, intelligent and goal driven. it peaks my interest at least

Adrenal fatigue affects all the organs in your body: liver, heart, kidneys, brain, lungs, ovaries, testicles, etc. Bones, muscles, skin, so on, so on. But you can live with it as long as you keep it under control. And luck of stress is more important than any diet.

Liked the video up until you stated "clean animal protein"... as if such a thing existed. Evren with out "added" hormones hamburger meat is typically from downed dairy cows. They're systems are flooded with estrogen (think lactation). ALL dairy has an overabundance of estrogen, again, it's the excretion of a lactating cow. Sodium solution is injected or mixed into most meats. You can can remove the majority of pesticides from fruits / veggies through vigorous rinsing with plain water alone. Use a vinegar rinse, or better salt water and you remove over 99% of pesticide residue. When animals consume pesticides in plants (and yes even organic can contain pesticides due to contamination) it is passed on to us - and you can't wash that off... Not to mention your "clean" animal protein is delivered with cholesterol, saturated fat, contaminants and heavy metals. What's "clean" about that???
