Wow it’s so great that she does a full hormone check on her patients. My Dr refused to test any of my hormones, so I found a different Dr. if your Dr wants to wait and treat you when you are sick instead of preventing the illness, it’s time to move on

I enjoyed every second of this video Mike, thanks so much for bringing someone (let alone a doctor and woman) Who has gone through this. I cosigned her every word! I am currently going through the same although I haven't broken my legs, I believe my body was about 2 miles from some type of injury before my adrenals blew. A bit of background... I've naturally lost over 200 pounds in about a year or so. Mostly through changing my diet from eating complete junk to eating a clean diet for my metabolic body type. Now, A year after losing the weight I just had my first son five months ago (by c-section, which you can imagine this was also a beautiful little stress on the adrenals) then to top it off I'm now on birth control for the first time in my life which has my hormones beyond out of whack. I never imagined there could be a condition like this until experiencing this all first hand. Trying to explain this to others around me sadly seems to make no sense. Until doing this research I honestly didn't know what the adrenals even did so I guess you honestly have to go through it yourself to know that yes indeed "It is a thing!" and as humans we really need to honor the "Rest"... as if that will ever happen. I have stopped training completely for the moment being that I'm scared to cause any more damage, I'm working on getting more sleep whenever I can and aromatherapy along with meditation/yoga. I can't lie, I miss the gym like crazy but I'm determined to heal my body before continuing any weight-loss efforts so on so forth. Thanks again. You have a lifetime fan ❤ -Summer

O cam totally relate I was doing to much weight excersice, on top of a stressfull job (psycholigist, I thought a lot of excersice is good) + I was cointing calories (adds stress), people were dying and then I changed to another bc pill. 2 months later completely burned out (it is finally recognised by the WHO but will not call it an adrenal thing, which is kinda true cause its ur brain out of balance not being proper to give signals to ur adrenals). Im taking my rest now and a little walking is alla I do.

It has always struck me as strange that the way to becoming a medical practitioner involves living a lifestyle that is bad for one's health and doing all manner of things that one should be learning how to teach other people not to do.

Neena Me It's not an individual choice to be stressed while in medical school, it's the irrational demands put on the students which even lead some to suicide, something "hush hush" that I only learned about not long ago.

This is the most awsome discussion i have seen, during my research after damaging my planter arches, which has led to the adrenal glands and hormone levels. For the first time i feel i am on the right track. I started trail running about 3 yrs ago, it is my stress relief, my meditation and my sacrifice. Lately i have begun to understand that every run is a gift and may be my last, but after watching yr video i am blown away. I can entertain the possibility that i may run to a ripe old age.

I have experienced my legs getting smaller, my butt got flat flat and my belly is growing more on the sides like my body is starting to look boxish. It’s so sad really. I workout but my belly doesn’t move at all. It’s just getting bigger. Taking magnesium now to help with my sleep

2 thumbs up from this couch potato! :-) But kidding aside, that's the golden rule of everything, take the middle way, and fit it to our exact situation (gender/age/time/health condition/body types) in life. Just remember, the first Marathon runner, Pheidippides, died from exhaustion, and that he had a job to do, not to exercise to lose weight. And how many joggers died from heart failure each year? Adrenal fatigue is just a fancy name for stressing our body too much. It's a violence done to our beautiful, evolving stream of consciousness. Thanks for posting, couldn't agree more.

Kristof Lemmens Hi. You might be having a reaction to the food preservatives that are in most foods. You might want to try going into an organic clean food for a while to detox and see what happens. That was my first experience where I was reacting to sulphurs in the food and felt always exhausted all of the time with very few windows where I could function.

Doctors that don’t believe in adrenal fatigue haven’t been through it that’s the only reason they don’t believe! It can be absolutely horrible! It can be a lot more then just being tired! Dizzy, pains that don’t exist, your bathroom schedule, digestion can be too stressful if you truly hit bottom with adrenal fatigue, workouts won’t exist it’s horrible

Don't really like how they put down cardio in this - any weightlifting program should be supplemented with at least SOME cardio, or would be better off with it at least. Such a binary view of good VS bad when the truth is so much more nuanced.
@selenearteaga6865
@selenearteaga6865 3 года назад
It really depends on the person. Not everyone absolutely needs cardio. If you are pretty skinny, it’s in your best interest to focus on building muscle only.
@TheMedievalBard
@TheMedievalBard 3 года назад
@@selenearteaga6865 If you are solely focused on aesthetics, then yes you are right. Health wise, however, being skinny does not mean a healthy cardiovascular system. Cardio strengthens the heart and lungs in ways that weightlifting simply can't, and helps with circulation. Cardio could be fast walking if running is too taxing for a certain person. Ultimately you don't NEED cardio to be in decent shape, but you will definitely be in worse shape/health if you don't than if you do the right kind and amount for your body. Anybody without a debilitating illness/condition can at the very least do fast walking.
@lynettepulsipher4502
@lynettepulsipher4502 2 года назад
Too much cardio is what killed me. I have had to go to no cardio. Only walking. Exercise is a stress on the body. A body with adrenal insufficiency is already overly stressed. Cardio and adrenal insufficiency does more damage to the body. I gained weight when I was pushing my body so hard. Once I stopped my body showed progress. It was crazy.
