He is the greatest tailback to have ever played at OU. As far as pure talent goes he really might be the greatest tailback in NFL history. I was glad to have seen his entire college career as a season ticket holder at OU.
I’ve watch this video more times than I can count but I just wanted to come back and say shoutout to one of the OG Sooner RU-vidrs. I was in or around 8th grade when this came out I’m now 31. Thank you
I'm sorry but Adrian Peterson was the 2004 hiesmen winner. Only reason he did not get it was because he was freshmen and an OU player won it the year before.
SoonerMagicJ And how are we forgetting Herschel Walker? He was the 1st Heisman snub ever, just because he was a Freshman and they didn't give it to Freshman back in the 70's. It was a Senior only award.
Hearing Fournette being mentioned in the same breath as Peterson. Fournette's a good back, but he's slower in pads and doesn't have the burst of speed, the acceleration or the explosiveness as Peterson has.
drake bone Where did you read/hear he ran a 4.3 in college? I know he ran a 4.4 at the NFL combine but only because he was still recovering from a shoulder injury and couldn't go all out. He has said before it is around the low 4.3s I believe him too.
Even though hes plenty powerful already..his determination and will to score every time he gets the ball is what makes him what he is...i think 36chambersmc36 said it best...no one has as much determinations in the nfl.
Palestine, TX baby ,,, saw dat boy mothers day weekend when i came home from college driven a 760 BMW do it big AD ... pullin for ya hope i come right behind ya ..got 3 more years thinkin bout stayin for my senior year ..
OU has been blessed with so many talented athletes. I feel honored to have watched them perform at Owen Field. Many have left a lasting impression on me. Adrian is one of the latest to give back to a loving and loyal family. God bless him.
adrian peterson has been freaking amazing in minnesota.....but i keep coming back here to watch this highlight video because it gives me the chilllssss......
You will never find a better running back than Adrian Peterson. He works hard, never gives up, and fights for every inch he runs for. You can slow him down, try to contain him, and load the box all you want. But eventually, the beast will get lose. He will make you pay, one way or another.
I am 16 years old now and growing up a sooner fan I watched these OU games, but at the time I didnt realize I was watching one of the greatest running backs, players of all time
my dad saw him in the army/navy all American game and told me...'this guy will be a phenom at any level he plays' sure enough. best RB in the NFL hands down...
man i love this guy and im not even an OU fan, im a nebraska fan lol peterson is an amazing running back and doesnt gloat about his abilities, and hes my favorite player in the nfl right now.
I grew up watching Greg Pruitt, Billy Sims and Joe Washington. I never thought I would or could see a better back at OU ever again than either of those three. I was dead wrong.
beast and my all time favorite sooner i loved watching him play when he played for us from 2004-2006 it was awesome and my favorite player in the nfl he is the best
this video is brilliant! nice work km! those are some sick camera angles. and all day runs like he's possessed. can't wait for harvin to help loosen up those 8 man in the box fronts
one of the best all time college running backs that didn't win a championship or an heisman, he deserved it his freshman year, but voters are so reluctant to give it to freshman.
Should have been the 1st freshman to ever win the heisman to be honest, hes was unworldly his freshman year, one of the best years for any rb at any point in time in history freshman or senior
WOW!!! by half time he had 8 for l05 and a 67 yarder. His final stats. 20 Rushes for 224 yards and three tds. (From 73, 67, 35) Congrats to him for his first 200 yard game. And only five games into his career.
peterson is not only an untamable beast, but he is a smart runner. he gets the ball and finds loopholes. and if all else fails, he just hauls ass and shoves everybody outta the way.
I've said it many times already and stand by it, Peterson is the best RB to enter the league since Steven Jackson. I think AD will be widely considered at top 5, top 8 at worst RB by the start of next year. His physical gifts and running instincts are absolutely incredible ^^^^^ yes huge mancrush I know
