Come along as I share what I've been packing in my husbands lunch this past while. I've been recording these lunches over the last several weeks, a lunch here and there, so they may not be in the exact order that I filmed them. Hello, one maritimer to another, one of our sons is an electrician and when he is here working and staying at our house, I ask him if he has a microwave to heat his food. He says , “mom if you can’t eat it cold, then you don’t really like it” lolol So glad I found your channel.

Great video, thanks for sharing! I love seeing what your husband takes. I loved every single one of those lunches! I found them varied and a little bit of everything (main meal plus fruits/veg plus something sweet!) Your husband is a lucky man to get these lunches! It gave me some ideas for sure

I enjoyed seeing what you pack for Dave's lunches. We often eat leftovers when we have them for our lunches, but lately if we have breakfast we skip lunches, or if we have lunch its because we haven't had breakfast. It's always a good idea to try and use up our leftovers, so there is less waste, but I'm getting better at cooking less so we don't always have leftovers. Thanks for sharing the time with us and for showing us that beautiful sunset sky on the day of the eclipse. Hope you are having a great week Lindsay.

So much love in all those lunches, Lindsay! Hoping my scatterbrained mind can remember some of those meals you made because they all those delicious!! I love kielbasa and also lasagna! My husband doesn’t eat yogurt, fruit, or veggies lol And doesn’t like taking food to work 😑 Thankfully, his work always has vendors who bring food just about everyday. He usually FaceTimes me during his break and shows me all the good food they get lol! And then the days there’s no food provided, he usually orders through DoorDash with a few of his coworkers, ugh! We’re trying to get him out of that habit lol. Thanks for sharing! I don’t think I’ve seen one of these videos from you since I’ve been subscribed and I got some great lunch ideas from it! ❤

Thanks, Katie! I'm grateful that Dave is such an easy guy to feed! Lol He's always packed a lunch from home. His lunch is only 30 minutes and usually he's hauling a trailer, so eating out wouldn't be all that convenient for him anyway. Nice that your husband has vendors who bring food in, I bet there are some great options! I don't do these videos very often, I think this might only be the second one! It gave the kids a break from recording theirs...lol I hope you're having a great Monday! 😊

Morning Lindsay, you pack wonderful lunches for Dave! My hubby has been taking a lunch for about 38 years. I am up with him in the morning so I pack it then. For years I packed a variety of items like you do. The last few years Chuck just wants the same thing basically. Bagel with cheese, some cut up veggies, dessert, and some trail mix. Thermos of water and some juice with a granola bar for break. Doesn’t heat anything up as the lunchroom at his work is very noisy and busy. Chuck is retiring in December so it will be very different having him home everyday for lunch! Have a good week.❤

Thanks, Robin. Dave is up so early, so I pack the night before. Dave has a lunch room and his current site (its a huge ongoing job) but I'm sure he'd rather eat in his truck alot of days, just for the quiet. Your house will be different when Chuck retires. Great lunches Lindsay 😊 We have lucky husband's lol. I do the same type of lunches. Leftovers mostly. I make extra on purpose for my husband's lunch and sometimes the kids too get to take leftovers to heat up at school. Sometimes he asks for sandwiches on homemade bread. I use my bread machine all the time and I love it. Peanut butter bread is yummy toasted. I've experimented a lot with the recipes in my book. Thank God for Thermos of all sizes. My husband is a diesel mechanic and his hands are never clean, so he also brings wipes with him. Those cookies, meatloaf, and lasagna looked yummy. We love Costco bagels as well and their garlic stuffed olives. Have a great week. It's rainy here in Northeastern Ontario but Western regions are getting some snow. I'm happy with the rain lol.

Hey Dyann, I try to make extra for lunches too, sometimes it doesn't work out (growing kids and appetites). Dave enjoys a sandwich on homemade bread too, I don't send them too often. Peanut butter bread sounds delicious! The thermos' are great, Dave doesn't use one, but the kids always do (as you know). He leaves so early, and doesn't want to take the extra task of warming food before he leaves. I can't keep those garlic stuffed olives in stock here!! I hope you're having a great day! 😊 Glad you're not getting the snow!! Lol

The first lunch is something I take myself for a day at work to snack as the day goes as I do weird times (e.g. 2pm-10pm or 7am-3pm). I often join some air popped popcorn with almonds as a "mix", or "cupcake omeletes" (basically a baked egg with peppers ham, sometimes cut up laughing cow cheese that I put in the microwave in a cupcake silicon wraper). This last one is good for kids too and it works with the entire egg or just with egg white. I love the variety you offer though. There is always something different. Wish I had someone to surprise me with a nice lunch like that x).

My hubby can eat anything cold too!🤢😂😂And he loves leftovers! He works where we live so I don't have to pack him a lunch since he's usually just here to grab whatever he wants...loved this video... it's fun to see what other hubbys eat too!!

I understand the concern of grabbing a sandwich after woeking with your hands all morning on a construction site (son-in-law). @@mominthemaritimes, I meant to say...the lunch with the triscuit crackers, laughing cow, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. I send that exact combo for my son-in-law. The only thing I do differently is cut the cherry tomatoes in 1/2, wrap in a small napkin to collect the juice, and send a small disposible spreader for the cheese. He loves to spread the cheese on the cracker, add a cuc slice, add some more cheese, and top it with 1/2 of cherry tomato. He says the combination is a great burst of flavor! Just an idea for you😊
