@@mrmr4622 Eurovision is not a singing competition, vocals do not matter that much. You'd be surprised how many vocally stellar performances ended in bottom 5 over many years.
The people responding need to understand that second place in one of the biggest song contests in the world, is still a really really good result. Yes, you didnt win the event, but you won in many different ways. Just making it to finals in the first place is a huge achivement.
"Finland had money to pay the judges" *the whole arena screaming Cha Cha Cha when Loreen got her points flashbacks intensify* *Finland landing the second highest televote in history of ESC* *people loving Kaarija and starting petitions to remove the judges*
Guess they just don't understand what we vibe with in Europe - they should have shown them a clip of the hosts struggling with the crowd when they kept chanting xD

"Finland had the money to give to the judges" is so ironic since Finland lost 1st place BECAUSE of the juries. I swear bro it was a mistake telling Americans about ESC.
I love the difference between Europe's taste and America's one. How do you not appreciate cha cha cha is beyond me. Also "Finland bribed the judges" is so funny since they basically lost 1st place because of juries lmao
The "tele vs jury" narrative is SOOO RIDICULOUS AND TIRING. Like that's not how the system works. It doesn't matter who won which criteria. WHAT MATTER IS WHO GOT THE MOST POINTS WHEN COMBINING BOTH JURYVOTE & TELEVOTE! END OF.
@@supertiredmerr Right but the jury was chaotic. It even included athletes and such, which makes no sense. Also, Juries should not be voting based on commercial chart music and which song they'd have their artists make and release, if they were the management but that's exactly what they did and the others just voted for what they'd hear in the charts. Eurovision is about being open minded and should not be, slowly, made to be just mainstream music.
@@Craigy2818 there's just a lot of assumptions in your statement. How do you know the exact way jury is voting? No idea about athletes as jury though. Also choosing a mainstream pop song as the winner shouldnt be an issue if ticked all the boxes (vocals, song production, performance, etc). A serious problem would be if the jury vote for low quality song just because it's not a mainstream pop song.
I had to laugh out loud about this comment since after the show all European social media could talk about was "How rigged were the juries to score Sweden high enough to give them the win" xD
what drama? Loreen was the best by far and everybody knew that she was going to win the juries with huge difference thats why the eurofan community vote massively to FInland, because it was the only way to avoid Loreen´s victory.
@@QueenOfDivas2000 People were upset about Finland losing to Sweden, it's not that they tried to vote massively to Finland, it's that the jury absolutely romanced Loreen
no! televote gave 243 points to Loreen, she wouldnt have won if she would have recieved 186 points. Juries didnt make Loreen won, juries AND TELEVOTE did it.
"Finland has money to give the judges" funny when the live audience were constantly chanting "cha cha cha" and "kaarija" and then he won the public televote 🤣🤣
Indeed, and the 2nd highest amount of televots in Eurovision history😂 ...they should have said that to him, as well as shown clips of ppl chanting Cha Cha Cha and "Käärijä" when votes were counted, would have been funny to see his reaction 🤣 The matter of fact is that most Americans could never understand European mentality to rally behind certain songs...
Its because Americans don't seem to like such things. Kaarija is like a softer more hiphop version of fe Electric Callboy, they would mentally give up listening to Tekkno Train or Hypa Hypa
Its interesting how they rate "Finland had money to give the judges" while he didnt get any votes from the judges since they were baised around Loreen...LOL...Americans man
@@noxfior They secure the win with it. She could had won the same anyway... she was favourite since start and the song is not bad. But this massive points from jury were frankly strange
"Finland had money to give the judges" babe the jury is the only reason Finland didn't actually win. Televote/the people chose Finland as the winner, the jury made sure Sweden won.
Nah, Loreen was better, and got the 2nd highest televote with people assuming she's going to win, therefore being less enthused to vote for her, while I'm sure, seeing how they behave, that cha cha guy fans voted 20 times from each device they had 🤣
16:19 jesus,, there is a thin line between being sassy and being disrespectful. And you know what's more funny is?Finland topped the public vote not the jury votes 😬💞
indeed. And prsonally I'm still a bit bummed by Loreen winning, since I think it is _way_ too similar to the one she won with in 2012. Finland was waaaay more original. However for 2024 I'm all in for Norway. Because that contribution is _truly_ original. IMO the best since Conchita Wurst.
@@beelzeduck I 100% agree! It was great seeing the whole crowd singing along with Käärijä even though they didn't necessarily speak his language, I believe that's part of the essence of Eurovision
"Finland had money to give the judges", I'm laughing so hard at how literally opposite it was, Sweden "had money to give the judges" and Finland was the people's favorite.
@Zazazozo a whole lot of yadda yadda yadda but the truth of the matter was there were performances that, skills wise and sound wise, should've gotten the jury votes over Tattoo, if that's all a performance is about. Instead they got snubbed so Sweden could have a huge ass gap meant to make it harder for the public vote to surpass it, which is what happened. There's the matter of the anniversary too.
@@noxfior the man cannot sing and the song is childish and lacking in meaning. I am so surprised Finland did not come last. Those pink dancers saved him.
The jury gave Finland an appropiate amount. The jury did not give Sweden an appropiate amount. Sweden received many points that should have been some other country's.

I should not be mad at them for not understanding why a song like Finland's is in second place, 'cause European music culture is much different from America.
American that loves Eurovision here. I am upset they didn’t play Alessandra’s high note the same way they showed Noa Kirel dancing. Also hate how they don’t get what Eurovision is. It’s not American Idol or The Voice. The weird/whacky/zany aspects of Finland’s performance is the essence of Eurovision.

A funfact for everyone Finland got over 370 points from televote and Sweden got over 240 points. So if it wasn't for the judges baffling 340 points to Sweden, Finland would've won.
@@patricklindkvist4067 Yes you can have an opinion but just because that ABBA was celebrating their win after 50 years i think that is why. And people can just write a song about love and they will win so is it in Melodifestivalen. I wanted Scarlet to go to Eurovision this year but they will not beacuse people will either vote for Jaqline, MM, Dotter, Danny Saucedo and Medina. And honestly i don't get the hype for those songs at all. I also wished Loreen would have come 2nd place. And i want to send MM to Eurovision this year atleast they got a nice trance beat with it. My current winner for ESC 2024 is Joost Klein.
they used to have televote points only but that didnt work because of ''union '' votes where people voted for the country they liked best not the song so thats why judges had to be implemented
After the Eurovision Song Contest ends I am always excited to watch this video but even though in the beginning it seemed like they got a lot of songs right they just showed how they've got no clue and think way different than Europeans. Anthony saying Finland paid the judges while he got 18 times 12 points from the audience votes gave him 387 points while Sweden enchanted the jury, also they don't know anything about Loreen who already won the show in 2012. All in all fun but maybe it would be better to later on let them know a bit more about the show itself. Keep the amazing work and we can't wait for the next React videos and next year's edition of react to Eurovision
All the infos that you want them to know are irrelevant to the video. My guy it's a reaction video 😂. They already know about the concept of ESC and the system. That's enought. What difference does it make?? 😂
You make it sound like Europeans think the same way. Which is inaccurate (obviously). They don't rly need any context to be able to tell which song they like or not. I'd get it if it was about another aspect of the contest but it's just about the songs and how they sound to them. And let's be honest, many Eurovision fans don't vote for the "best song" and which sounds objectively better (musically) anw. So judging these reactors for their own opinion doesn't make sense.
“Finland had money to give the judges” funnily enough ppl are saying that about Sweden here in Europe sksjks most of us wanted Käärijä to win. He actually got the second highest televoting score in the history of Eurovision!!
yeah but Finland has that highest televote because eurofans vote for FInland a lot to try to stop Loreen from winning the contest. With that televote Cha cha cha must been the most selling song and he didn´t. It´s time to admit that a lot of people vote for Finland because they didn´t want Loreen winning again
@SeverK people like Cha Cha Cha, but that song hasnt got the big fanatism and succes that Tattoo has with her performance in Melodifestivalen. In Eurovision a lot of eurofans vote crazy for Finland because they didnt want Loreen winning again, for them it was unfair.
Finland was actually the fan favorite(my favorites were Czechia, Australia and Belgium though), the audience was chanting Finland a lot in the arena through the results. Sweden was the winner with the juries, and won because it got most jury points but also a fairly high score from the public/viewers.
