If I showed this to my mom, she would've said "disorder? Pft. You're being too dramatic." This is why I hide my tinnitus (which is common I think), my arthritis, my rls,my daily migraines lol. Its not that big of a deal anyway though the arthritis! It is painful

Some of you guys are so inconsiderate. Just because someone says they suffered as well for a few days or weeks doesn't mean you have to say "oh that's nothing I suffered for years" or "this is about Jaiden not you". You guys need to realise that a few days can lead to a few months which can lead to a few years. Stop making fun of people who want to voice how they feel. I'm sure they don't come here to be made fun of. This video is about bringing awareness and helping people who need it.

I hate the idea that the length of an experience, or even the experience itself is a right of passage. Being in pain for a long time isn't something to be proud of. The recovery is, and should be the focus. It's about finding the help, not boosting that you destroyed yourself for a long time.

Error 404 well there is a LARGE population of people who are on tumblr and reddit. People will share tips on how to reach your “goal weight” faster and easier ways to make yourself throw up. There are plenty more examples but it’s been a year since I looked into it so I can’t remember them all off the top of my head

This had nothing to do with the internet, a lot of the time eating disorders have nothing to do with what people are saying, but could be the result of anxiety, depression, etc.

Agreed. I didn't get into him at first, admittedly because his hair made me think he was into like rock, not my style at all. Then I saw that some of the RU-vidrs I was interested in collabbed with him, checked him out, found out he liked psychology on his About, watched a few, found out he DID know his stuff, and just subbed to watch his vids.

Jaiden and Boyinaband truly gave an insight into what the journey of anorexia is like. Some of the lines really struck me in particular, and anyone who wants to understand what an eating disorder is should watch their video. Anorexia is a disease of the mind, and I hope that at least one person is inspired by this video to help someone or get help.

The fact that in Jaiden’s video where she talked about her anorexia she had to draw the images for that video shows how strong she is and that just shows that even if it hurt for her she knew it would be better for others who are experiencing this and for her. Good for you Jaiden you are a blessing, and to anyone else going through anything big or small your friends and family are there for you and can help you.

This is a great idea. My cousin started to well.. stop eating, when she was 10. I'm three years younger so I didn't understand it for awhile. Children do need to know this, not just the kids on react channel

Avrysatos exactly! Younger kids feel a lot of pressure to look a certain way and eating disorders are really starting to affect younger people. If the kids get educated on stuff like this, if they spot someone who is showing signs of it then they could get them help!

I think the line “I can reach out to someone unlike me” it’s PERFECT! Especially with eating disorder, you just cant go to someone going thru the same things that will support the wrong side of the issue. They may be supportive of the ed behaviors instead of your recovery

I'd like to say that Jade is freaking beautiful and to those who say otherwise, keep your opinion to yourself. We don't need negativity like that on the internet. We all have our own problems and you just aren't helping. I know some people lash out because they reflect their own insecurities on others and take out their pain on those people. It's okay to seek out help. Show kindness to others and they will show kindness back.

Finnaly there telling Jaiden's story, when i saw her video of her condition i broke and cried to see what she was and is still going through, she felt pain , we did too , but it was ok because we felt Jaidens pain and helped tell us her struggles and gave us her pain to help her, we love her for who she is, we will always love everyone for being them, and helping them with there struggles of life, We will always love People for being them.

@@cjscaitlin Well, that's not exactly talent in this instance, it's experience. So obviously, making a song BUILT for emotion is going to carry more emotion compared to songs for random people to listen to for enjoyment. Plus, people know the backstory and that just adds more feels to the mix.
