Advance Wars Dual Strike: Sasha's Theme EXTENDED

Simple. Play Hachi and don't have a care in the world. :D His power meter is so short, it really doesn't matter to him if you slow him down. And his units are super cheap and spammy, so he doesn't care if you take some gold.

@@Chokoboh Sasha's power meter is smaller than Hachi's though. And Hachi's Day to Day is only ok. His default reduced price isn't as cheap as Colin. Hachi is made broken because of his Super Power so a CO like Sasha has a better chance against him than most since she can reach her power first more than likely and keep him from reaching his Super Power for a while. Though his regular power is still pretty good with the 50% price reduction, the Super Power giving him that AND the ability to deploy units from any city is what makes him a king.

@@Teknanam Let's not forget that Sasha Day to Day bonus is still mediocre at best against Hachi. He will still deploy units, capture faster than her. He may only get the chance to use Barter but that was still enough to destroy her since unlike Colin, his unique does not receive any penalty. The only CO that could actually beat Hachi is still Sturm which was removed in DS. Sasha could slow down Hachi but the moment Hachi pops Barter, it's enough to defeat Sasha.

@@zhaoyun255 Hachi's Day to Day is a 10% reduction to the price of his units. Depending on the units being deployed and the properties owned, Sasha's extra 100 per-property can keep up with him at least with cheaper units. His DtD just isn't as overwhelming as Colin's 20% price reduction. And while Hachi has average units, Colin still has average defense made stronger by Gold rush spam giving him average firepower and 10% extra defense. They aren't any easier to kill than any other average CO. It all comes down to the powers and the fact is, Sasha will more than likely be able to delay Hachi's ability to use either power for a bit since she has 2 little stars to Hachi's 3. After all, with 2 stars just like Colin and Adder, Sasha could end up getting even her regular power before Hachi and delay his Barter and invalidate his Merchant Union. At least for some time. She can't delay Barter forever, but those delays are time where Hachi has to play like an almost average CO. Of course Hachi still has the advantage, but I'm sure most people would prefer to deal with just Hachi's day to day price reduction for as long as possible at the cost of playing a CO with average DtD units as opposed to playing anyone else and having no real way to stop a Merchant Union flood of cheap and powerful units on every one of Hachi's cities. At least, thats how I see it.

@@mauricesteel4995 tbf, 10% extra funds is a damn good day to day, even better than hachi. Simply because 10% funds = you'll get your Co power faster, compared to 10% off which if you do the math, it's the same as every Co.

Not only does it drain your CO Power gauge, but it also decreases your units firepower. Regardless of the type of space they sit on when attacking or what unit they attack.

I don’t know why I didn’t even play Sasha that much as a kid playing ADDS, but this theme is so nostalgic to me. It reminds me of better times, the advance wars series is under-recognised and I hope it gets a nice spotlight with the remakes!
