Doing asset inventory or stock room inventory requires confirming against a master list. Using Scan to Spreadsheet, you can scan barcodes to conduct inventory. When finished, use the Vertical Lookup or VLOOKUP function in your spreadsheet software to confirm matches and highlight the assets that were not scanned.
First, import the existing on hand assets lists into Scan to Spreadsheet. Follow our “Import and Lookup on scan” video to learn how to import your spreadsheet.

I have an Excel database with already assigned barcodes to each tool; at the same time, I have all the barcodes printed and attached to each tool, so I can ID it using barcode. The idea is to scan the tool to pull the record for each one and update some of the fields. How can I do that? Thank you

Inventory lookup would be more valuable, thus a real world use case if the formula provided a count of scanned inventory..
