I don't like the outside world. It's too unorganized, unlike my 300+ hs factory in my oldest save file. Everything is so beautifully symmetrical and purposeful. The factory must grow!
@@Farcsy97 for most of the game's technology, gun turret have more damage per second (dps) than lasers at every tech level (assuming you have access to lasers as is the case with scenarios lile story missions mod. In simple words, after researching all red and green, gun turrets with piercing ammo has more dps than lasers (which are with no upgrades at current tech level). Adding military science and later blue science doesn't sway the scale. However, it's only for the enemies resistance against physical damage that lasers win against gun turrets. Read about resistance in the wiki if I didn't update this post.
Something it took me amazingly long to find... Use both the min and max settings on your inventory requests. Add a inventory request for copper ore and set them both to zero; that means whenever you pick up copper ore the bots will immediately take it away. Do this and you spend much less time managing your inventory.
10:47 Good thing to know too: Once a miner runs out it will still output the total resources of the resource patch it used to belong, even though it is not on a patch anymore. That means you can just use the closest miner, you don't have to wire the miner at the center. If you deconstruct that miner though you won't be able to place it again, so "auto-deconstruct miners when out of resources" mods will break your circuit :)
That should easily be fixable by adding some kind of clause in the mod which disallows marking the miner for deconstruction if it both is connected to a circuit network AND the amount of ore left in the patch !=0.

Ошибка, written without errors) I knew about the wagons-chests, but seeing the rows of wagons, I came up with the idea of mobile production at different compact bases-enclaves and the cars-chests will just look good in this passage. grain 420000000 (42 seven zeros) with a minimum frequency of resources, maximum coverage and scale water, it will just be an interesting world, due to the fact that in the lower right corner there are all the starting resources along with oil, which will allow you to move there, away from the cloying boring spawn, and in the upper left corner there is a cool island in the middle of a large lake, where you can make a mall.
I'm surprised you did not talk about what to me is the most important tip ! just like train and weapon slots, you can set filter in your inventory. it might seem like a useless feature, but have you never ordered bots to deconstruct something, to see they cannot get back into your backpack ? just reserve a spot for them, and you'll always have room for them !
It is actually really useful for distributing resources aswell. You have have an undergound belt go below a machine with 1 gap, then pick up from its "front" with an inserter to insert into the machine
I cannot believe I haven't attempted to filter weapon slots. That blew me away, that respawning pistol is such a huge pain in the ass. Also really cool that you can output patch count by wiring up miners. Keep up the good work, I'm surprised I've learned at least one thing from each of these videos, even though I've got 700+ hours in the game! Cant wait to see your 100k plaque!
@@Trupen Also, Trupen, I have to thank you so much for this video. Tip #11 just saved my life. I've recently started to begin to play Factorio again, and I have been struggling with biters ruining my day. I was trying to figure out how I could get ammo to my turrets without having to go back and forth between my outposts, or having to set up a dedicated ammo train. But now, I can just set one of my train's cargo slots to be ammo, and transport it directly on the ore train itself. You're the greatest!
Just connect every inserter wia Wireless to the Logistics Network, and let him only insert to the machine, if less than x amount is already in the network.

0:10 woah i actually genuinely didnt notice this that's so weird :O 8:24 when you get to a point that you have that many science packs, a few extra resources spent on cars isnt really that bad. hardly a sink in your bank. 10:01 i always forget that this exists, its niche but is super helpful :D a tip i always like to suggest is: dont stop using basic inserters! you can literally save GWs of power by using basic inserters in place of fast or stack inserters by using the right inserters for the right job, there are some setups you will basically NEVER need fast or stack inserters for, even if you speed boost them to the max possible speed they can have. idle inserters are costing you energy with no benefit, and the higher tier the inserters go the more energy they consume while idle. basic inserters also consume less energy while working compared to fast or stack. if basic inserters _would_ have idle time in a set up that means any better inserters will have a lot more idle time than that. but then when they ARE working, they are still consuming more power than basic inserters, so in these cases its always better to use basic inserters.

You missed an easy first tip: how the heck are your blueprints jumping past each other and placing cleanly instead of overlapping smoothly like normal?
Alright I was just passing by and in the 250~300 hours I've spent in my runs, I've always wanted a feature to limit my train wagon slots to a specific resource. And hot damn you delivered.
There are those who take games free in Epic games store. There are those who pirate them. And there are those who use Trupen's tricks and not even subscribe.
I knew most of these, but still learned new things, thanks Trupen! Saving 2 tiles on trains fits quite perfectly with a station design I had. Gotta check if it works. Didn't know you can reserve weapon slots.
