Hi sir, just a suggestion if you don't mind, would appreciate if you could re-consider again on adding the "Auto lot" function to this EA as I think it does help to fully automate the Lot Value being readjusted as the account balance grows and that really helps a lot in freeing our time needed to constantly monitoring and readjusting the lot size manually. Many thanks and appreciated for your re-consideration and all the hard work that you've put into this EA:)
This ea is interesting. I have tested it and the results aren't bad. How about you started a video series were we advance this ea to be even better. For example adding RSI and harmonic patterns for entry. Also, add time filter, trading day filter, news filter.
Hi So based on the video he said if he had 1500. And took a 28 loss. He would be down to 1472. I have set my sl to the 28 meaning points but gold is so volatile it hits it startightawy. Whats your sl size?
Hi Petko .. thank you for your contribution to our financial success with these videos and EAs. I did backtest as instructed and performance doesn't look anything like yours in the video. What could be the reason for this and is it likely to impact performance on actual live trades? I get better back test results with my broker when I check to 4 conseq candles. Do I use my adjusted settings in this instance?

Hi deniskoval2914, this is probably due to your broker and the spreads and fees that they charge. When creating EAs, I use the settings from the broker I am trading with before running the Generator. You can change a few settings in the Inputs when attaching the EA to your charts, however, it may be better to open a few additional demo accounts with different regulated brokers with very tight spreads, and run backtests on each, comparing the results.
We have many accounts with many brokers. In Europe we are limited to 1:30, but our traders based in other parts of the world trade with leverage up to 1:500

Hi, thanks for sharing. If I know how to code, I would add an option for direction of trade where the user can defined either Sell Only or Buy Only. I believe this would enhance the profitablity of this EA.

Hi sir, just an update here on EA tests for your info only: 4 consecutive candles seemed like didn't do any better than 3 consecutive candles at all, yet to my very surprise, after a few days of testing, I found out that 5 consecutive candles were able to do much, much better with far less losing trades with smaller values and in return it was able to generate many more winning trades with bigger values. Feel free to try it out for yourselves if you wish to and see how it works. I sincerely do hope that what I'm seeing now would continue to do a good job in the long run. However, it's not my EA at all and I just simply download it using the link given in the video description area where you can also download and use it 100% free as your wish to. (Kindly refer to the video description area for the link to download this EA) This EA and also this video is shared by Mr. Petko Aleksandrov whom I believe is also the EA developer. Therefore, as for the TP (Take Profit) question, just to be honest, I also don't understand how it actually works as Mr. Petko didn't explain about this matter in the video. You would also notice that in this video the SL(Stop Loss) is set at 2800 but the TP (Take Profit) is remained default as 0. The thing is, the EA somehow still works and will do its own job of when and how to TP and decide on the TP value automatically and it would be different and not stay the same every time when the EA closed a trade. If you are interested to know more, please kindly do ask Mr. Petko by leaving a "new comment" in this youtube video. I think Mr. Petko would reply you personally when he is available to do so. Hi adamsaldrin, what it means is that in the past the EA performed well. As market conditions change, performance may change, so while past performance is a good indication of the robustness of the strategy, it may become unprofitable for a time while market conditions are not favorable.
ty for the EA. I just downloaded it and settings are quite different than in the vid and also than in your comment that you added to this video about updating EA's parameters. I assume I should just leave it with the settings that are built in when I download it? (SL 2800, min body height 45, 1/2 level -10)
Hey JayS-uo7dc, the robot gets updated from time to time, so it could be that you have a newer version with different settings. But yes, let it run on a demo account, run a backtest with your broker to get an idea of past results and let it do it's thing.
Hi will the change in lot sizes effect the performance of the bot, if you have a 100$ or 50$ account and you adjust the lot to 0.02 will it still work? Is the bot working through the brokers system or purely on Mt4? Thank you for you work.
Hi nhlakaniphodlamini8135, the actual performance won't be affected - trades will open and close using the same rules, however, the lot sizes will affect the profit and loss due to the spreads

Hi lukasmeden223, Gold is not a very volatile and active asset, like EURUSD for example. When market conditions are right, and the rules of the strategy are met, trades will open. If you run a backtest, you will see in the journal how often trades open generally.
Hi sir, under your parameter settings, here are some questions for you if you don't mind as follows: 1. If I use $100 for my account, then the entry lots should be set to 0.01, am I right? 2. Stop loss default value is set at 2800. Does that mean 2800 pips or 28 pips? 3. Take Profit default value is set at 0. Do I need to set any other value? If not then how will the EA close trades by taking any profit? 4. In your video you mentioned about doing the ''reverse'' trades when seeing opposite signal appeared but it is not seen anywhere in the EA parameter settings. Does that mean the EA will automatically execute the reverse trades (including open and close trades) when necessary and I don't need to manually do anything at all?
Sir, I wonder why no reply and clarifications from you yet. Anyway, I've got answer on question 2 on my own observation during my 1st test with the EA. Stop loss default value of 2800 is actually 280 pips. Therefore, to set stop loss value to 28 pips you would need to set the value t0 280. As for all the other questions, maybe you were too busy to answer my questions. Well, never mind then. I think I'll just stop my test and move on with other EA testing. Hey Cchong, 1. Yes 0.01 is the minimum but for me $100 is a very small acount. Try on a Demo first. 2. SL is in pips. 3. There is an exit condition. SO no need to put TP. 4 It does the reverse automatically.

However, if you use that $100 with a cent account then the EA would treat it like it is trading with a $10000 account and that's when you could use 1 lot for 10000 cent in a cent account, it's similar like using 1 lot for a $10000 used in a standard account.
Sir, although probably well meant, on 6min and 54sec into the video you show your 3 bearish candles and call it a win, but look back to candle 35 36 and 37, they are exact what you’re saying but for some reason you ignore them and let it run. That would have been a loss! And please don’t say the middle candle has high wicks! All 3 of them are bigger than the ones you choose to show in this video

I believe in scalping strategies for large pairs like XAUUSD. Not working for me. On M1, backtest showed (-81.19) for 8/1 to 9/21. Maybe something not correct with my setup. Thank you for your efforts
As long as you have installed it correctly, and enabled auto/algo trading before installing it, and you see either a smiley face (MT4) or a blue hat (MT5) in the top right corner, the EA is working and will open trades when market conditions trigger the strategy rules

Sir, Could you make some strategies based on Bollinger bands/Keltner channels --all the BIG BOYS/WALL STREET use these bands & pile up positions like kid in candy stores. We want to trade with them to survive on this earth.
If you see a smiley face (MT4) or blue hat (MT5) in the corner of your chart, you have installed the EA/s correctly, and trades will execute when market conditions trigger the rules of the strategies. Make sure you have adjusted the lot sizes to suit your account size and check your journal for any errors. You can also run a backtest to get an idea of how active the robots would be with your broker

The EA doesn’t work. I let it run for a couple hours and didn’t even made a single trade. Everything was open and the smiley face was on as well. Something I need to do to let it run?
You can use the EA as it is. You can also change any settings you like, and run a backtest to see the result of the changes. But, always test on a demo account first
All EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods. The idea is to keep it trading in a demo account, monitor it's performance, and trade it only in a live account when it's in a profitable phase. You can also run a backtest to see how it would have performed in more recent times

Hi -500IQgaming, Gold isn't a very active asset, and as such, doesn't not open trades with the same frequency as something like EURUSD. Your broker's fees and commission also play a part as well as your lot sizes and account balance. As long as your balance is enough, leverage set correctly, good spreads from your broker, trades will open when market conditions are right for the strategy rules to execute a trade.

Great stuff Petko. Im taking a course too. Im hooked on the EAs. I just passed a Ph1 in a 100k challenge in only 2 days $8100. Luckily Gold took a deep dive. Im trying to load your bot but i click paste to put in EA file and it shows my other bot. Weird. Then asks if i want to replace the file because its allready used by my existing bot. Do you know why it only allows the current bot ( unless i switch it out ) ? Thanks buddy
Hi superflyelectrocycles3863, not sure really. The EAs have different names, and shouldn't have any issues. You can only run 1 EA at a time on a chart, but you can copy as many as you want to into the Experts folder. I think just make sure that they are 2 different files, and you're not trying to copy the same file twice.

I think what really got me was the VPS is its own browser. I cant copy off my local browser and paste on the VPS browser. Im taking your EA builder course now. Hi dkfamdeklerk1052, do you see a smiley face in the top right corner? If you do, the EA is enabled. You are trading with a very high leverage. I would lower the leverage to 1:50 or 1:100, and change the entry lot size from 1 to 0.1. Give that a try, give it a few days and let me know if the EA starts opening trades.
Too bad this EA don't have auto lot assigned option and we need to manually change the lot size. Hope that in the near future this auto lot feature could be added into the parameter settings. Thanks.

Hi farrelkleinsmith6755, Gold is not a very volatile asset, like EURUSD for example, so you won't get as many trades opening. Be patient, when market conditions are right, trades will open
Hi onesevenone7205, what do you mean? Are there no trades being opened in the backtest, no equity line, journal, etc.? If so, please double check your settings, and importantly, please ensure you have loaded enough historical data by first pausing the automatic scrolling above the chart. Then, select Tools->Options->Charts. On the bottom, change both options for max bars to 99999999. Close this window, then hold down the 'Home' key on your keyboard until the chart stops scrolling.
Dear Petko. I have installed the mt4 version on 1000€ account but it does not trade. Autotrading is activated, m1 chart on xauusd with am smiling face. Journal does not show errors. Any idea? Thanks!

Hi @colingordon0986, you can adjust the entry lot size when you load the EA onto your chart. In the properties window change from 1 lot, to 0.1, or even 0.01. The run a backtest to make sure it was profitable, as broker fees may make it unprofitable on a small lot size.
Hi Petko. I'm live testing the MT5 version since 2023.09.08 and it doesn't trade at all on a demo ECN account with spread typically around 33 points on XAUUSD. I have no errors in the Experts or Journal tabs. I've checked that the pair I'm using can be traded and it is.
Hi marcolanioli1072, Gold is not a very active asset. I would suggest running a backtest over the last year or 2, to get an idea of how frequently the EA opened and closed trades with your broker. Although this doesn't mean it will continue with the same frequency, it will give some insight into how active the EA is, but remember market conditions will dictate when the EA trades.
I already backtested on a full year, and the EA traded at least once per week. Will test the MT4 version later on another broker later @@PetkoAleksandrov
Hi @pradeepkumar-kq7eb, the file is not an executable, It is a mql4 file specifically for MT4. Have a look through our other videos which will show you how to install MT4 and place the EA onto your chart.

The EA doesn't expire. However, all EAs go through profitable and unprofitable periods, so it's best to put it in a demo account to see how it will perform, or run a backtest over recent historical data
Hi @jameslee6558, did you enable Auto Trading *before* placing the robot onto your chart? Is there a smiley face in the top left hand corner of your chart? If you have done this, and no trades have opened, it means the entry conditions haven't been met yet.
Hi arhimedia1968, all EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods. Download the free EA, install it on a demo account with your chosen broker, and see how it would perform in current market conditions - say the last 1 month to get a better idea. Also, backtest it over a longer period, like 2 years to get an idea of how profitable it is in the long term. Make sure to use a broker with very tight spreads on Gold for best results.
Hi keithadams8317, this would depend on the leverage you're trading with. But as you'll be trading full lots, a larger balance in your demo account is best, to test the EA
