What you do in this video is very similar to the way Finnish rallye drivers use to drive the old rear wheel drive at the time, controlling the weight, the balance, powerband, grip, etc with subtle touches of throtle, brake and steering... to me, this is an art and is pure driving control. I enjoyed a lot this one. Thanks
The first 4 or so years of me drifting was no ebrake. The S13 I had at the time didn’t have a functioning one. I was young and just wanted to drive so I never cared about swapping cables. I’m very glad I drove those years without one because the amount of things I’ve learned without it made me such a better driver.
Almost exactly the same story as myself although I had an s14 haha. The only time I felt I needed a handbrake was when I started competition. I know a lot of people who can drift fine with a handbrake but put them in something without one and they look like beginners!
11:20 great cut to show the bathroom is in the middle of the track. The green car is peeling out from the same location and you can see the vending machine from the start of the previous shot. Really good edit!
I absolutely love rain drifting, it's a hell of a lot of fun feeling the rear end of your vehicle loose traction while you lightly feather the gas pedal through a corner.
Fantastic video as always! The camera angle made me feel like I was in the car. Nice mix of in/out of car footage. I also liked the chill vibes with the rain and a not too busy track. This is exactly the kind of trackday I would love to do.
bro, I love the scandinavian flick I fell in love with this technique watching rally, and as an alternative to the e-brake drift, c'mon, it's so cool and satisfying to feel the weight being transferred and making the corner
Awesome video. It is great to see Sayaka again. 👋👋👋 Really interesting driving in the rain. The track walks from F1 are a must and you learn so much. Keep up the good work.
Alexi, can I just say that you make me feel like I'm watching Top Gear for the first time again. From the intro to the content itself, it's just simply amazing and makes my days much happier! Keep the drifting up brother, love from Aotearoa!
We need tracks like this in America that actually let people on to drift. I don’t mind paying for this sort of open drift day, but what usually happens is you end up waiting in the Q forever for like 10 runs maybe. Street drifting it is.
i love this type of vid just alexi and the car. not him walking around looking at cars we have seen 1000s of times. just like befor his car got destroed. and 2 vids in 1 week very nice
Man seriously impressive driving on the no handbrake runs, especially in the wet. I kept mentally reaching down for mine while following along the lap.
Really really enjoyed that video! Part of the track where you drive under those trees (9:30), was definetly my favorite, although I didn't liked this course very much when you released the Mazda Roadster video some time ago.
interesting course, i like the bit where the trees are hanging over the track, would love to see you run it again when its not all wet and inconsistent
I love rain drifting so much. Sure, dry drifting is faster and more aggressive but i love being able to drift non-stop all day long on one pair of tires.
