Your instructions are very good and detailed, but have you considered not talking over every single part of the song construction as you're doing it? It'd be good to hear the Drums a bit more as the work grows, and possibly balance the volume of voice and EZD2...drums are little too soft. Also, why not make EZD 2 fill the entire screen, instead of just the right side, so it's easier to see the plugin features. Not having a go at you, but after all, it is an instructional video for EZDrummer 2, and it would just be good to have more of EZD2...Cheers. Keep up the good work.
Truly your videos are a God send. You explain like you invented the program. Did you? My wife keeps asking me why my jaw is open when I watch these....I didn't know it but truly what I am learning from your excellent and clear videos is JAWDROPPING!!! Thanks so much. Do you have a Patreon account?
Thank you very much for saying! I do not yet have a patron account. I'm currently trying to finish my website first. If you need something specific for your needs, you can contact me their. It sounds like your making it though my advanced videos, great to hear. Let me know if you have any questions.
@@ShootieSchool how would anyone know about these advanced features if they didn't have access to your videos. Maybe Toontrack should incorporate your vids into their system of tutorials. Will let you know of any questions.
@@BibleBeltBlues Toontrack does have some advanced paid courses that pop up now and then. I've never watched them, so I can't recommend them personally. Thanks for your comment! The purpose of this series is to teach the program how I would have liked to have learned it myself.
Wow! Floored again. A a few weeks ago I binge watched the first 8 or so videos. Then I got to working using the program. I have had to come back and watch several of them a 2nd or even 3rd time, because there is so much to absorb and remember in each video (a good thing). But every time I watch them, I recognize that I have not only watched how to master Song Creator, but I have gotten a solid lesson on multiple other areas as well. Namely, workflow, how to think about song structure arrangement from intro to outro, and musical arrangement on the dynamics for each song part and what to think about when searching for those parts. Shootie School is a hidden gem. Should have as many views as their are users of EZ Drummer
= Am trying to output all the instruments tracks from the Mixer of EZDRUMMER 3 to my Studio one 6. = I was assigning each single instrument of EZDRUMMER 3 to an output channel in studio one 6 ..from 1/2..3/4 …5/6..until 31/32 than then I can assign to no more channels in studio one 6 because studio one 6 has only 16 channels for outputs.. === so my Question how can I add more channels in studio one 6 that way I can assign all the instruments of my mixer of EZDRUMMER 3 ? I really like your channel. Good job ..love and peace ✌️

Good stuff, l was working with Alesis SR18 even tho l had EzDrummer l have since packed the SR18 away only to be used in live situations. Well done for making these Vids, they are a big help.
A lot of the ezdrummer midi goes like this: boom bang boom bang boom bang boom bang boom bang. Relentlessly. How does one solve this relentless shotgunning nightmare Mr Shootie?
I cannot believe this video has only 2500 views. It deserves at least 1000000 views. It is the very best 'Song Creator' video on the entire internet! You should make Udemy courses for a living and you'll be quite rich in 5 years. Kudos!!
@@ShootieSchool You are very welcome brother. Totally deserved. You have the voice, the pace, the deep knowledge, you have all the talent needed to make a nice income from Udemy or any other online teaching platform. Cheers to your success! 🏆
Have you thought of doing a course on EZ Bass? I haven't found any courses on it that are as organised and comprehensive as this EZD2 course. I would love the same kind of thing for EZ Bass!
Your videos are so in depth that I find myself watching them several time until I really have a handle on what I'm trying to learn. You have a real gift at your teaching style , as I always enjoy and learn from your vids.. Thanks for the time you put into the detail of your teaching and not just a gradual overview of the product.
Thanks! Under the Search Tab, look at the "Play Style" column and select "Double Kick". There's some files you already own. It's safe to say any EZX with Metal in the title will get you plenty more.
@@ShootieSchool Thanks bro... I just went a little crazy and bought an arm load of expansion kits in EZ Keys bass and drums ... actually found some great sounds in the pop rock as well... I love the double bass in Rammstein and Evanescence
@@santomon07 Don't forget, if there's a beat you like you can simply add double bass to it. Check out my Advance Recording and Editing video if you're not familiar. Rock on!
Thank you for these videos. I can't imagine how many people use this software without knowing all it can do. I would have been one of them if not for your instruction.
It depends on how particular you want your beats to be. There is no Piano Roll Editor (gird editor), so it's hard to get your beats exact. But there is a huge library of files that can be manipulated and you can tap with your mouse to trigger your beats.
@@ShootieSchool I am using Studio One Pro. I tried the export last night-Good to go. The .WAV file was large, the MIDI file was smaller. Trying to understand the mixdown properties and impact which file will have on a final mix down/master. Leaning towards the MIDI as it's smaller. And the killer mistake I made (should have watched the Mixer video) was to "Not" use the mixer before exporting. I tried both. Work Flow is-now Song Idea/Written Song/Shootie Videos/EZ Drummer/Sing Along/Record Guitars/Bass/Add Layers As Dreams May Come. Niftyliciously Rocking!

I'm currently having issues with my edrum using this particular app. I can't hit two notes at the same time (I can only hit 1 cymbal or 1 kick and can't be at the same time) any fix?
I never heard of the issue before. There's not a setting in EZD2 to addresses this. I would guess it's your drum module. What kit are you using? And are you using anything else besides a kit, cable, and ezd2?
@@ShootieSchool I use Yamaha DD65 midi usb directly to my PC. It works fine the way it should be except the issue. Tried contacting toontrack but they don't respond to my messages
@@joweetan7477 They're probably going to take their time because it's a 3rd party problem. I would be contacting Yamaha instead. This isn't a regular USB cable, right? It's a midi converter? Which one?
i was using pro tools a while ago and i accidentally got ez drummer to write midi in real time to my guitar riffs, ez drummer was tracking my riffs and creating good drum beats that go with my music, ive since started using UAD LUNA and Studio 1, while using these other daws i updated pro tools tp the 2020 version, ive tried to re create this in other daws and the updated pro tools but cant do it anymore, i would like to do this in LUNA, have you come across this?, it reallky did make writing easier and i wouild like to use that feature again, any ideas ?
"ez drummer to write midi in real time to my guitar riffs, ez drummer was tracking my riffs and creating good drum beats that go with my music". I've never heard of this. Can you explain it better?
@@ShootieSchool i reaaly wish i had used screen flow to capture this, what i do remember was i would drag the ez drummer 2 midi file into pro tools (it wouldnt work unless i did this ) i cant remember if i pressed record in pro tools or in ez drummer, but when i got this working i would see new midi notes being written in ez drummer, like i said i cant recreate this, im pretty sure i was on pro tools 2019 at the time, i really want to do this again
