Hey all you hunters out there. If you’re reading this and if you’re struggling doing this farm, don’t give up! It took me almost all weekend to really get this farm down to a science. I died over and over and over again at times I had to step away because I was so upset. Just keep going. Don’t give up. You’ll eventually get so many pulls in, you WILL learn it. Good luck!
Gg. Yea I’m still trying. I can do the caster dwarves at the start easy now, and all bats, scorpions, and first pack of non caster troggs easily. When the caster troggs start coming in though, I struggle, the issue is getting them to sync up well, because I get into a position where some are coming from the bottom, some from the top, and the top ones hit me from an unreasonable distance and all just batch one shot me at once
@@Burlehmangus yeah that was my exact problem too. Just keep practicing. Best thing is to take your time at getting them grouped up at first. Just jump down, then up, then down, then up again to get them all clumped. If the casters are on the ledge casting, use that time To jump on the ledge as well, but as soon as they stop casting, jump down. This helped me keep them grouped up
Ya this is the most frustrating farm i ever tried to learn. im trying jumping up and down to stack them but half the time i try they dont go back down and I get a huge U. I have been trying to jump farther back. Just read about that patch of dirt, the grind continues.
The key with these pulls is when you pull the troggs with caster mobs. Really get everything stacked tight at first. drop up and down the cliff. Once stacked only peak for 1 or 2 shots and back up(this needs to be fast, like in the video). If the caster mob is casting fireball then wait on top, if casting flame burst or w/e i usually just do a quick hop up and down like all the other times. If you find mobs the caster mobs making their way to you via the ledge, when you drop you need to run out more and dont stay up top too long, and also this will be somewhat effected by the previous statement, "1 or 2 shots and back up, and back down". Vice versa if the caster mob is on your floor level and other mobs r splitting up on ledge, stay on the bottom behind wall when he cast his abilities to help restack. This will take you a few hours likely. Hope it helps
Been watching tons of videos on this solo farm and been practicing for 20+ hours, if someone else is struggling with the casters and getting clean runs let this be your motivation: Currently am in pre-raid gear with a couple of raid pieces (nothing major) and am using a Mithril Heavy-Bore Rifle as my weapon. Most of my gear is green "of the Monkey" pieces that were cheap on the AH. I can confidently say that having more HP is such a blessing for when you're learning this farm. It allows you to mess up more often (getting hit by Geomancers or getting immolated by Flamewalkers). My best tip for anyone who is struggling with pathing and the casters is this: If the pack is in a U shape (half the mobs are up on the ledge, the other half is on the floor), and you are running out of room before the mobs get to you, do NOT panic and try not to reset! It is still salvagable! Having done this many times myself, the best way to get them grouped back up is to wait for some of them to get to the middle, then jumping up, then back down, in rapid succession. The mob pathing near the stairs is sometimes a bit messy, but this is your advantage! Sometimes, the mobs will take a little bit longer to path up the stairs, and doing this enough times will 9/10 times get the mobs grouped back up again. It's important when doing this to not allow the casters line of sight to you, so jump down just behind the corner of the ledge and walk backwards. An important detail is that there is a small piece in the corner near the ledge and the dirt where you are down on the floor, but the mobs on the ledge will still path forwards to you. It is really important that if you notice this happening, you move backwards immediately. This can obviously be detrimental. After 20 or so hours of farming this, I have gotten my clear time down to 16 minutes with pretty consistent pulls, and I rarely take any damage at all from the casters. I was struggling for the first 15 or so hours before I watched this video, and an important thing to keep in mind when doing this is that MOVEMENT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF IT. It doesn't matter how much damage you do, if your movement is off you will fail!
Been doing this a bit as well, and I may have a tip for you Frostadmus. If you're currently pathing the mobs upstairs, you can jump down and stand right at the sharp corner. The large mobs will continue to path up, while the small Flameweavers (And maybe geomancers too) will path down. Can be useful to restack.
You basically just stand right at the corner, downstairs. I think it's because the big guys have a longer melee range than the others, so they are OK with continuing going up, while the small ones are not :D@@Frostadamus
To my experience it might also depend on what hitbox your char has. fx i have hard times doing this farm on my female orc, but very ez on male hunter @@kirbydk
I like how you have the AB tabard equipped on the video thumbnail despite not actually being able to equip the tabard until level 60 lol. You got my view, like and comment tho :D
Made the char model with a different program, outside of wow. The thumbnail alone has like 30 elements. Everything is made from scratch, nothing from in game.
I was debating what class to lvl as second char, came across your video and 100% on hunter instead of being like 60% sure lol, loving it so far just as fun as shaman but with way better farm potential
Thank you for this update, been doing this the past 4 days and been making around 200g per day from selling pre-bis greens and mageweave. Only got some cheap BOEs so still hoping for atleast the bow. Going to go get a prowl pet and give this update a try!
Oh nice to be able to skip the dwarves, although I have found a good technique getting past them using Viper Sting to drain them of mana, they are just so annoying. Gonna have to try this later!

Hey frostadamus could you do a short video on what gear your hunter has with maybe some commentary about what you think is needed and not neccesary to do this pull cause im thinking of leveling a hunter to do stuff like this but i dont really wanna raid on it if its not needed
So I tried this with big pulls and it always seemed like a gamble, smaller pulls are definitely easier and controllable. What I noticed is the brawlers sometimes dont reset their path and keep going to you on the top ledge eventually reaching you.
When you come down from the ledge. You have to back peddle a bit. Or come down at an angle. If you're to close with your face to the wall, sometimes they dont go back. So you need to go a bit back until you step on the stone on the ground, you'll see it.

For all you Taurens out there: Bring deviates or you will have a hard time. Took me a couple of wipes to realize that mobs would not run the path they should. First guess that it had to do with Tauren hitbox was right, deviate made it thousand times easier. GL farming
Question: when my pet dies, I immediately got lone wolf buff according to my classic stats add on (shows +30% dmg) Thx for the video, managed to do it in full MM spec Had some hard times with second pull, but doable Did it a few days ago, before the explosive shot buff
If your pet dies try to attempt to res and dismiss if you have time. So you can use for next pull. If not, just attempt to res until the unit frame of dead pet dssapears. Then cancel res and move on.

@@KittenCritters what? Why would BM be able to do it but not MM? You dont get any talents in your BM tree that help traps or explosive shot lol MM would be better than BM forsure
@@seph_f BM makes pet pulls better and more forgiving. MM doesnt offer anything outside of trueshot aura that is relevant. Neither is even close to what survival offers. And of course MM and BM can do it , a no talents no gear hunter can. But you would waste so much time compared to just swiching spec that you're losing gold just from the pure opprtunity cost.
If I got a pendulum and monolithic bow in one pull I would be so mad because then I would have been a milionaire if I had bought a lottery ticket instead…

@Frostadamus yes but they should have touched the scaling, not the base damage. It causes the same issue hunters have had all along. High base, bad scaling.
Just keep on practising. Quick peeks, and prioritize survival over damage. So when geomancers cast fireball, use that as an opportunity to stack the mobs.
For prowl and dash you need to tame a ridge cat from badlands, usually around kargath. He lvl 40 and invisible. www.wowhead.com/classic/npc=2734/ridge-stalker-patriarch
I believe it works like this: Only certain pets can use prowl and be taught it. First, you have to tame a pet that knows prowl on it's own, then you will learn it yourself and it will be in your "beast training" ability. If the new pet in question is able to learn prowl, but doesn't already know it, then at this point you would be able to teach it to them. I think the issue you may find here is that only the pets who already know prowl can access prowl. I'm not sure if there are pets in the game who have the ability to learn prowl, but don't already come with prowl when you tame them. Good luck!
So blizzard thinks it's fine for hunters to be able to pull large amount of dungeon mobs with their pet, but god forbid I get to do it with the eye of kilrog :(
@@Frostadamus In 2019 Blizzard nerfed Eye of Kilrogg so that it dropped all aggro when it died. Now spellcleave dungeon pulls will require a hunter with a stealthed kitty kat. That's probably going to get nerfed sometime in next phase when blizzard sees people pulling whole dungeons with 4 mages, 1 hunter and doing like 10 minute clears of BFD or something wild.
i swear i will run out half way into the middle of the room and reveal my self to the mobs fully but they still will stay up on the top wall sometimes has anyone else done this on tauren or is my hit box to big?
@@batessdd I’ll check it! I raid as arcane heals and I imagine you need to be frost for that so respeccing would be annoying all the time. We need dual spec
@@Frostadamusnot at all, but i'm sitting in a cave as rogue and am very deadly for the opposite faction, while very annoying for my own holding loot windows stealthing and reaching veins first etc.
