Great honest review! Just purchased one for a one-off scuba trip - so will be good enough for that. Came as a pack with the dash cam for less than $100 😊
Just picked one up on the beach.....happy new year, pulled it out, found a cable, put it on charge and I will be happy to have a play around with it. Excellent. Thanks for the helpful information and the comments. Got myself a serviceable camera!
Just been looking at a couple of action-camera review videos, & it's quite apparent that this camera that Kings sell is a rebranded AKASO, a Chinese company which has been making budget cameras for a while now. In my opinion, while you can't expect the same quality as a Go-Pro they still represent great value for reasonable build-quality & performance, especially keeping in mind that when using these type of cameras there's always a high risk of damage or loss (& good luck trying to insure them)!
Someone near my place tossed one of these cameras out in the council clean-up, complete with the water-resistant housing! As it works okay, I'll certainly have some fun with it, but will try the different settings as my webcam also wasn't very very good when set set to auto for colour-temp!
@@ruggedlife Although I have a SQ13 mini DV camera (purchased as part of a bundle of tech/audio/video gear), which is smaller, has IR leds, 4K & WiFi to control it from a mobile phone, the Adventure Kings action-camera is much easier to use as a 'stand-alone' device. Possibly my only gripe is there not being a way of easily mounting the camera without the the case so the micro-usb cable can power it!
I've got the same model but an NZ shop branded one. Its average in my opinion, GO PRO is were the video and build quality is. I've used mostly on a jet ski and the sound is shockingly bad.
I just got the same one for Xmas present Can you use it without the sd card? It didn't come with a memory card and the shops will be closed for the next 2 days
