Listen, I know that Adventure is used as an engine in all the meta decks... but I feel like playing Adventure decks _as they were intended_ is the funniest concept imaginable. Just... having your _boss monster_ be a _token_ is one of the most unique deck concepts I've seen in a long time. I can only imagine everyone's reaction to whoever pitched this.
The only piece of Card support that’s missing for this deck, is a Card that can change one of your Monster Card’s Name into a Brave Token! That would really help sort this deck out seeing as how the field can support the names of Tokens since they don’t really fill out the deck or exist to some extent.
@@ianr.navahuber2195 That would be very on Theme for the rest of the deck. But I’m thinking about doing some Archetype mixing and matching to get a Good deck going out of this card.
Another interaction to keep in mind if you're trying to play this deck rather than just using its best cards in another one: Magicite Warrior is a FIRE Warrior monster that can be Special Summoned easily, and Isolde can send Equip Spells from the Deck to the GY. Who knew the Song of Roland was a self-insert fanfic all this time?
Also its a Meta engine. 3 auca, the token spell, 1 Or 2 of the contrius spell, and 1 dragon rider and 1 gryphon. The general engine and is really popular, because in decks like PK. They will end with their normal end board, but a bounce and 1 more negate for free
I imagine this archetype would be fantastic in Duel Link, since it’s essentially Noble Knight but way more searchable. Needing to summon Brave Token first is not a problem, since with Aquamancer+rite, you have 6/20 card which can directly do that, making the odd of drawing it much more in your favor. The meta right now meant that winning with it is much easier as well, and barely any deck can go pass being unaffected by any card effect aside from just ramming it, which is hard to do when you can go 1500 negative against a 2k mon.
This is the most clueless statement for brave token playstyle. Im not looking forward to meet gryphon in duel links or even drake. This is basically normal summon aleister on steroids.
@@ianr.navahuber2195 gearfried is a free special summon from hand if youve got equip spells on the field or gy, it has a quick effect monster negate that destroys, provided you have equip cards on field and it can equip your opponent's monsters to it without targeting when it battles. Basically, gearfried is a solid boss for any deck that uses equip spells.
Gryphon should’ve been a Union monster. It would’ve been cool if it can equip itself to “Brave Token” and still uses its effect while equip. Also it will protect “Brave Token” once if it would’ve die in battle while riding the Gryphon.
Personally, my silly tech pick would be power tool dragon. Given its ability to search out equips (even its its random ). You also forgot hidden armory, you know, the card that searches all equips. Theirs also alot of vylon synergy here sence their both equip based decks.
Well, one thing's for sure. If the OCG's anything to go by, this is gonna boost a TON of decks. Already we're seeing it in the OCG with Swordsoul, Phantom Knights, Prank Kids, Virtual World, Eldlich, etc etc. Hell, people are running this with Despia and Albaz. This token engine scares me lol. I'm looking forward to trying to pull the engine in TGC (Though I've heard Aquamancer is gonna be a PAIN IN THE ASS TO PULL), but I'm more looking forward to Exorsisters and PUNK. Namely the former.
I've said it once. I may be a laughing stock for saying it, but I'll say it again anyway. Brave Token has incredible potential. It does have a crippling weakness in the fact that if you can't get to Rite of Aramesia, then you're screwed, and for that reason, people say that the Brave Token focused deck is worse than War Rock. (Even though War Rock is NOT A BAD DECK, but I digress.) However, the second that you do have Aramesia, you literally have access to ANY cards from the rest of the theme whenever you want them. As such, you can blend in tonnes of different archetypes without losing any efficiency at all. Personally I've had the most success adding some Tenyi Spirits for extra board breaking and protection, and Level 3 Speedroids - not only for making big Synchro plays with Baronne de Fleur and PSY-Framelord Zeta, but also for making Cherubini, which can throw Aquamancer into the GY as COST, meaning that seeing Terrortop is instant Aramesia Access. Cherubini also has a fun gimmick where if it's pointing to your Brave Token, it's not going anywhere without a fight. And if your opponent goes after Cherubini instead, you can just bin one of your Equips instead of losing it. And that Equip will just jump straight back onto your Token. This trick is repeatable up to three times per turn. Sure, nobody in the OCG is playing anything other than the engine at the top tables, but if you can only think about a deck's competitive viability, then I honestly feel sorry for you. TL;DR: It may not be the most competitive deck in living memory, but Brave Token may just be the most versatile in terms of the ways you can build it. It would be brave of you to sleep on it.
I think it is a great casual deck . I mix the token deck with tenyi and a bit of sword soul and I am having fun. Problem is if your mindset is “meta only” then anything not meta is immediately seen as garbage . I don’t see brave (talking the whole archetype not just shoving in the bare minimum to get a free negate ) ever being “meta” but it is a perfectly fine casual deck .
Aqua: "Who are you?" Aquamancer: "I'm you, but useful!" Aqua: "If you're me at any degree, then you're useless by default." Aquamancer: *[Breathes in]* *_"Listen here you little shit!"_*
Imagine when they add large-scale hologram to Yugioh, someone plays Brave Token deck and just step into the field everytime he summon Brave Token. "Token desu ga, nani ka?"
"Resurrection Breath", "Thunder Discharge", "Wandering Gryphon Rider" make me wonder when are we getting the monsters seen in those cards. And how would they support the archetype (in case of Gryphon, if the small rider will get its own card) Maybe the monster from Resurrection Breath will be able to summon A Brave Token if there is a Rite of Armesia in the GY or banished. Given that trap seems to have the "goddess" the Aquamancer takes her power from to summon "the hero" to the isekai. Make you could summon any other monster from any GY if you already control a Brave Hero token
now we just need token savers. yknw, cards that keeps tokens alive(kinda like mecha phantom beasts)? or at the very least: tech cards like inspec boarder, only: ones that make it so that it only applies to ur opponent(like offsetting cards like "there can only be 1"). fun fact, phantom beasts and mecha phantom beasts are in the same archetype hence the name "phantom beast" existing in the card name... so they had to alleivate synergy by having 1 of them say _"mecha_ phantom beasts."
What about a slower-tempo Adventurer deck utilizing the defensive cards (like Thunder, Papillon, and Forest along wit Gryphon) that features Trap Monsters? Trap Monsters' only "on-theme Normal Summon" is Kuribandit, which the deck can play without. Plus, Statue of Anguish Pattern and (at minimum) Cyber Shadow Gardna is a once-per-turn pop on the opponent's turn. Quantum Cat and Swamp Mirrorer become any attribute/type for Xyz plays that need specifics like Excalibur or Constellar Omega (which can be turned into an M7 for a bounce or retrieve a fallen Brave Token monster)
I wouldn't call Isekai to be the "most popular genre", that would still either be Shonen or Mecha. I would however call it anime's most *oversaturated* genre; a sentiment many fans of anime (even in Japan) would agree with me on. The only reason it's still going is because the people who actually like it are (to borrow a term from mobile gaming) whales: people who spend hundreds, if not *thousands* of dollars on their addiction every year.
The issue is that even many of those that would agree that its oversaturated, contribute to the problem by either viewing the show, or even going so far as whaling out themselves.
@@Bezaliel13 you mean Shonen vs Mecha? Yeah they are like polar opposites. Even tho many Mecha can be Shonen, thats mostly because many Mecha try to incorporate some form of Shonen to hook readers. As Genres, they can be very different
@@freddykrueger8076 I was quite direct and clear about them not being genres, shonene being a demographic and mecha being more an element, in my questioning.
I've been playing a the BT cards in a 1 card Halq deck with the Sangan and Plague as the normal summons to get into Halq, then make Borrel Savage, Baroness De Fleur and herald, and that's without even using the BT cards, if I have access to them I can easily add the token+Gryphon Rider to put a 4th Omni negate.
The trap searcher is slow as hell. Not only you need to battle first but you can only set set them instead of adding to your hand(discard for journey of destiny). As if trap card by it's nature is not slow enough in modern ygo.
You know what would have been funny? If instead of the black white in the Brave Token to rep the viewer, Nova just put his face while making a goofy face

You will get illegal knight the anti hero sooner, basically a quick time kaiju that you can use to return your opponent monster and returned back to the hands by Draco back.

Ok this just came to me but this deck feel like a main characters deck close your eye? (after you read this) can you see this as Jaden yuki's deck imagine that each card was a duel spirit and the brave token work like valin's armor cards its its kinda freaky how well it works
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Eh, he and relatedly Luna might get a few chuckles out of that somewhere as well as Zarc (Duel Spirit Affinity et al) at least once... Amusingly Brave Token and World Legacy really feel like two diffrent perspectives of the RPG, but I suspect World Legacy is a nope in compatablity?
