Poor, sweet Helaena. Just trapped in the middle of all this brutality when all she wanted to do was examine her insects, play with her kids and embroider :(
@@octbaby88me too, the only innocent person so far on the greens side is Halaena, I feel so bad for what she had to go through :( She has gone through so much even though she is an innocent. She's just stuck in the middle of this war 😢
The embroidery was very complex and may have taken her some year/years to complete… and it is sad to think she was embroidering the shroud of her son. She knew.
Aemond has literally had barely any screen time in any of the eps. A very weird choice. For me it's kind of ruined the season. Even this ep he only probably spoke for 1 minute total and thats been his most so far.
@skillsmachine9164 Ryan really scammed the audience that young characters will have their focus onscreen rather literally turned out to be most boring season.
Cuz they are not meant to be together. Aemond is supposed to be the broken hero kind, who is good at everything but still doesn’t get the happiness his looking for
@@h.dungore839 Aemond and Helaena siblings moments will be still interesting to watch though. Makes sense if they're close as Phia said. She is Viserys' second daughter and he is the second son with only 1 year gap, both were neglected.
@@lolsaXxYeah, but in the book, she was never an autistic clairvoyant. I really enjoy bits of what they’ve done with her character, but we’ve only heard maybe 3 sentences from her that made sense.
I want to see her ride Dreamfire soo bad! Dreamfire is massive & beautiful. She is called the Queens Mount for a reason. I would've love to see them fly and bond!
I think it's just a tease for the real interaction later. They are both middle children of Alicent's 4 children are surely closer siblings like Phia said and Ewan instantly agree.
@@laurenar6966 She has Aegon, then Helaena 2 years later, than Aemond one year after her. Then 4 years pass before she has Daeron. So Aegon is 7 years older than him, Helaena is 5 years older and Aemond and him have a 4 year age gap
Aegon didn't even do anything to him besides tease him a little when they were kids. Let me know what brothers don't tease each other when they're young.
I'm curious on how Aemond speaks to her, like I'm sure she's the only family member he doesn't hold any resentment againts so my guess is that he has a softer attitude towards her. Also PLEASE I need Aemond to be the one to point out she's a dreamer 🙏🥺
Aemond is NOT beloved, please! We can understand his arch but he is a psycho: narcissist, no empathy, no remorse, no moral limits. He is a Kingslayer and a Kinslayer. He should have found his place without killing his brother, just as Daemon did. Daemon is not a good person either, but at least he has limits. He can act as a psycho with certain people, but not to his family and king. He should have found a path with that woman to get away of that marriage he was imposed without killing her (accusing her of adultery and pardon her from death?).
@@arelendil7Kinslayer but on accident, still a kinslayer I guess. I mean we all know Aemond is not a good character same as many other characters in this show they are all pieces of sh*t. This is why I don’t have a side. Daemon may not kill his family but he killed his ex wife, also because he was never raised under any emotional abuse and he had toxic relationship with his brother when he was older but they never hated eachother. Daemon never knew his mother. While Aemond had a alright relationship with his brother but Aegon bullied Aemond along with Jacaerys, undermined by two of his own family members. Emotional Neglection from what we saw from episode 6, 7 Viserys has not shown any affection toward his younger kids this was when he was able to move. Alicent is around her kids but barely they are mainly doing their own things while also having things forced on them like Alicent telling Aegon and Aemond their nephews are Strong Bastards and instilling it into them, because at this time Alicent does not want Rhaenyra to have the throne. And the worse thing is when Aemond lost his eye his father did nothing atleast Alicent tried to fight for him. Obviously don’t take Luke’s eye, but punish him such an act should not go unpunished. He just let Rhaenyra and her kids go while also telling Aemond to say sorry and that’s it. There is clearly some higher level of favoritism or affection toward Rhaenyra because she is the daughter of his first wife.
@@RaShe105 Daemon's current arc is interesting and should really pay off later in this season. He always told himself that Viserys is just weak but his brutal methods keep backfiring and pushing people away from him. He's at a low point now being confronted by the many valid criticisms towards him over the years. Rhaenys' arc was also interesting. She seemed to feel heavily guilty that she could have stopped this war from ever beginning and had no quarrels about likely dying in battle. Rhaenyra's struggle to try to prove herself has some parallels to Aegon, just not as extreme. Knowing that Viserys didn't change his mind has hardened her resolve. Team Green have had more payoff so far this season but I think both sides have been well written.
@@idakev My main issue is how the Blacks STRONGLY contradicts with the books. Not to say that the Green doesn't but I feel like compare to the Blacks, the Greens arc are done with more thought into it. While the Blacks are... Uhm.
@@RaShe105 yes exactly. Writers have gone out of their way to make the greens nicer, and at effect of circumstances, rather than the conniving snakes they really are who created those circumstances.
They were together a couple times in season 1 (though actually it was more like they were in the same space talking about eachother not to eachother). I especially loved when he moved to shield her and she grabbed his arm when Rhaenys came through the floor at Aegon’s coronation. Oh how their relationship seems to have changed. I wonder how their interactions will be in the future?
@ethantanwenjie9916 looking forward to the greens traitorous hard work being for nothing and they all fall lol seriously though screw Aemond for what he did to Luke. He had no business chasing after him with Vhagar.
Just like Kit Harrington will😞 ALWAYS be Jon Snow, this young man will 😲ALWAYS be Aemond Targaryen!!❤It's like this role was custom made JUST FOR HIM!!👏🏽👏🏽🤩🤩🤩
I know you meant that as compliment but Ewan's range as actor is wider than that. He's also great as protagonist like Osfert (one of fan favorites) in series The Last Kingdom.
Imagine had Aemond been the elder one. He would have gotten married to Halaena and would have been a good and a sweet husband to her and would also be good and protective towards his little brother Aegon. He may or may not have been a good King. He would have still usurped the throne of course. But atleast these three siblings would have had a good dynamic 😢
Ironically I've been saying that Aemond is more of a good guy than anyone else regardless of how bad he seems to be, because unlike Deamon he's never been after his brother's throne because he's never shown any signs of interest to become a king besides he was never serious about revenge from his nephew and even when he killed him it was by mistake, but this changes a lot I see.
You didn't follow that in Season 1: He said he was prepared to take the throne if he had the chance ... In Season 2 he burned his brother alive on purpose. He is worst than anyone. He has the intelligence, but he does not have moral principles, remorse, shame, or limits. Besides he thinks he deserves it more than anyone. He should have proved himself useful and his brother would have ask him for help at the end. He is destroying the family for his gain instead of constructing. Neither Aegon nor Daemon ever passed that limit.
@@arelendil7 it started getting serious when he ruthlessly attacked his brother. Yes. That changed a lot but before that he wasn't being determined to take the throne at least not the way Daemon was obsessed with it. And for the limits, let's not forget that Aegon used to bully Aemond and embarrass him, their brotherhood/relationship was different than Viserys's and Daemon's. So Aemond had a few motivates to do what he did to his brother besides taking over the throne.
I honestly think that Helaena is badass in her own way. Calling Aemond out like that is extremely bold. People see her as odd or strange. But she sees and knows things that haven’t even happened yet. You would think that someone would have noticed by this point? She could actually help the Greens if they bothered to listen to her. Helaena the Dreamer. My 1 and only favourite Green. I wish she would hop on Dreamfyre and get herself and her remaining babe, as far away from this war as she possibly can.
Phia Saban the actress said she's closer to Aemond of all her brothers so... their interaction will be interesting. Also another fun fact: her dragon Dreamfyre was revealed for the first time in the show was in front of Aemond.
It echos Daemon and Rhaenyra from season one in that one scene...And my tinfoil senses used to say Aemond might have been the twins father, but her face in this scene had me rethinking that...
Even if he isn't the twins father I really feel like something is going to happen between them. I mean the show cut out her third child and with her son's death that only leaves the daughter...and they refuse to crown a woman soooooo I low key feel like he's going to pull the marry me instead be queen and let's have a son vibe 😂😮 oh I just gotta finish off my bro and your husband real quick 😅
Do u think that Aemond takes Helaena's rambling seriously?? I've always wondered whether he heard what she mumbled when Alicent that he'll get a dragon and after so he realise it.....too much of a stretch? 😂😂
The music is definitely something. I like that he knows is her. How softly he turns to look at her. Also how unafraid and unaffected she seems by blood and cheese. How she isn’t in the nursery or have gone to see Aegon at all. She is wondering the castle alone, in the dark without a single candle. Knowing where Aemond would be. Asking him if what he did was worth the price.
I like Aemond he is good never taking acting classes. He's his on man he goes out and get it.he stands tall and he will do what ever he has to to get what he wants know matter who he hurts and destroys in the the process. Aemond strong and self made man so watch out if you are in his way.he will take you down. Connie
“It will cost him an eye” So I think he’ll be sleeping with her soon. I don’t know if it will be willingly. Sadly I don’t want to see that but I think they will be their future interaction
And this is why I think Helena's story is going to have a slight twist...Aemond's blood lust is going to lead to her being one of his targets. My heart dropped when she called him out. He's already trying to murk out siblings, poor show Helena doesn't seem to be missing not one thing that's going on. She's not appearing crazy or lost either. It's still early but I'm expecting a twist.
@@rahmatmanurung8133 He has already burned her (I do like what you did there, ☺️). Aegon is her husband, put him being her a brother side for a moment, but without Aegon holding the position of ruling king...Helena is now more vulnerable than ever before. At least Alicent sat at the councils, had whispers to move around for her, hell, even had her own personal knight. Poor Helena is hiding in corners, watching and waiting for the story to play out. Who actually has her back? Not Aemond, he toasted her husband. That sibling love displaced her and if Aemond's murking out other kin, his loyalty is only to himself. Being close to an enemy doesn't guarantee protection from their destructive ways. Aemond is an enemy to anyone that is against him.
@@indiadecoseytillman Is he truly enemy to anyone though? Idk. Ewan said on ist he did some scene with Phia Saban for Helaemond fans 😅 yeah they both know the ship name. Ewan also slipped spoiler: "there will different shades of Aemond will make people maybe like him a little bit". Interesting.
@@rahmatmanurung8133 shipping the two from season 1, I can see that but in season 2? I wouldn't dare. Aemond has discovered power, if he was comforting Helena after B&C...oh, most definitely would be pro-ship. I had empathy for Aemond. He's a tragedy in so many ways but he's certainly changed as his confidence has grown. Alicent doesn't even trust him and that's scary. Before the deep frying of Aegon, I didn't think Aemond would go against his Green siblings. He appeared loyal. As for Ewan and Phia, they are a joy to watch. The cast, imo, is amazing. I stopped believing the interviews after Matt Smith said that Daemon didn't want the throne knowing he was going to be tripping balls most of season 2 - calling himself King. The biggest cluster of chaos was the dragon egg debacle. Like why?!?! If Helena does end up having that long lost second son, fingers would have to point to Aemond first though. Aegon isn't making heirs right now. 🤦🏾♀️🤣
The way his face can be seen in both the scenes. First his right side is in light while we cant really see his eyepatch vs the next the eyepatch and the scar are the main focus
The belief part was genius, cause all of Joy's choices for beliefs were always a statement (I'm a good friend, I'm brave etc). But all of Anxiety's beliefs started with If (If I get them to like me, If i do well at camp...etc). Anxiety's beliefs are all speculations, not statements
There is no special interaction between them in the book, except for one fact that for some reason no one sees. ❗️Caution! Maybe a SPOILER❗️ . . . In the book Aymond dies on the 22nd day of the 5th month of 130 (when he is killed by Damon), Heleina dies thrown out of the window at sunset 22 days of the 5 of the month of 130 (that is, on the same day, but at the end of the day) No one knows why she threw herself out of the window (there was a lot of gossip about it in the book). But she, being a visionar, could see Aimond's death and committed suicide.
