On a calm evening in August, I flew my Cherry electric-powered glider over the remote village of Lochaline, situated north of Oban where Loch Aline meets the Sound of Mull. We were on a diving trip staying at the Lochaline Dive Centre and diving from their Sound Diver hard boat each day. It's a beautiful unspoilt part of the UK with views across lochs and mountains. An opportunity to fly came when the wind dropped and the sun was setting.
I've not included the 'power on' climbs because the footage is a bit shaky with the increased speed. After a few high passes over the village, I landed the model at the sports field above the village.
