The italian aerobatic team "Breitling Devils" during a training session at Thiene's Airport (LIDH). They fly on 5 Aermacchi SF260 (former SIAI Marchetti SF 260) an italian training plane designed by Stelio Frati.

Of course it's a sport for professionals. The pilots you see are all former members of the Italian aerobatic team, the legendary "Frecce Tricolori". And they have thousands of flight hours each. Consider also that the maneuvers are designed to impress the audience but to ensure maximum security for all. It uses optical tricks so the paths of airplanes in flight that intersect and never go in the direction of the public. We learned a lot from the incident of the past ..

Great video. I, for one, have no problem with the quality issues that it had. The stunts performed were still great & honestly I'm used to people on RU-vid not using tripods. Thanks!

And what's about the sound? For me it's like a symphony. The engine sound of the SF260 is unmistakable, even miles away!

You prefer the airplanes sound? Of course the engine noise of the SIAI Marchetti SF260 is music itself :-). And 5 SIAI SF-260 sounds like an orchestra :-) But I think music is necessary on video made as a photos show... Thanks for your comment.

Hi, I'm sorry for this problem, I know it. It was one of my first video so I made some mistakes: I didn't use a tripod camera and I setted up the wrong aspect ration during the data transfer between camera and the PC. Now I lost the original cassette, so I cannot redo the work. But this aerobatic team now have only 3 members and lost its main sponsor. So it's an historical documents that I want to share with all aviation fans! If you know a way to correct it please suggest it to me ;-) Thanks

Vediamo di chiamare le cose con il proprio nome.Il velivolo è un SIAI MARCHETTI SF260 e non un Aermacchi.

Bruno, il velivolo era un SIAI Marchetti SF-260, ora si chiama Aermacchi SF-260 come riportato anche da wikipedia it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aermacchi_SF-260. Forse dovremmo chiamarlo Alenia Aermacchi SF-260 www.aleniaaermacchi.it/it/products-prodotti/training-system-sistema-di-addrestramento/trainer-aircraft-addestratori/sf-260
