The L-16 Grasshopper is the militarized version of the Aeronca Champ and was used extensively in the Korean and Vietnam wars as an observation/liaison aircraft. Trevor Edie is a qualified fight instructor in the L-16 and he gives us a brief history of the airplane as well as what it is like to fly the Grasshopper.
