This was the first version I heard as I was only just getting into Aerosmith when I got the game, then when I heard the original version, I thought it was a completely different person singing hahaha

I actually began to think that the version of Dream On in GHA was a really good cover with the singer sounding close to Steven Tyler until I found out that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith rerecorded the song specifically for the game. LOL

Probably because this one had more stuido magic on it. Last time it was more of a raw recording. Either way, his voice is great.

i don't agree about the studio magic, i think that this is better just because of the experience of Steven Tyler. When he recorded the original dream on, he was just discovering his style, but now, or at least in 2007 haha, he can sing like this live.

I think since this was recorded later, and his voice got raspier over time it just gives it more emphasis than the original which makes it better imo

I would love nothing more than to turn on the radio and every time Dream On plays, it’s a different rendition. In my fantasy reality, there would be 1,000 Batman movies where everyone from Tom Cruise to Joe Rogan would play Batman and then turn around and play The Joker.

I find it interesting to hear how many people like or prefer this version, as someone went through with the effort to making a Rock Band custom of the original due to them preferring that rendition. This version is also available as a full band custom for Rock Band (converted from GH using ripped multi-tracks).

that is true few bands earn respect of fans of 70s 80s music even the 90s. i'm 13 and hope to keep rock alive and preserve music from greats like aerosmith, queen, survivor, police, eagles, and such but some of the new stuff is good (2000 - 2009) like linkin park, 3 days grace, and foo fighters.
