So, Tyler was 66 yrs. old at the time of this concert. Vocal decline is a condition that most singers suffer from eventually, even trained classical artists on Broadway and opera. For a tenor, it usually manifests itself in loss of higher notes, and the elasticity of the vocal cords diminish over time, becoming thicker which leads to other problems. For Tyler, at this point singing for 40+ years, he is phenomenal. His vocals are outstanding in a man of 66 (now in 2020 age 72). Bravo, Steven Tyler!
Another whose vocals have withstood the test of time is Glen Hughes. Not sure how each of these guys pulled that off. More power to them both of course....nice to see.
AEROSMITH... coolest ever rock band. Nobody can touch them. Steven Tyler is totally awesome!, is THE Legendary Rockstar. What's really amazing is that they still have all the original members!
I'm fucking floored that his voice sounds this incredible at his age. This performance is definitely live and yet it's on par with the studio song from like 30 years ago.
I saw them live in Munich this year, despite I'm Dutch. It cost me a shitload of money, the hotel, the ticket, the journey, all the food, etc... And was it worth it? HELL YEAH! I simply had to see them live. They were the first rockband I ever listened to and that is what has shaped me today: A long haired singing bassplayer in two rockbands and with an Aerosmith collection of all the albums (including the compilation ones), 3 shirts and a giant ass poster. I am forever in the debt of Aerosmith.
I saw them here in my hometown (Salinas) in 2014. I didn't realize what a treasure they were at the time. Still have the souvenir T-Shirt from the event and I hardly ever wear it.
Steven Tyler, one of the greatest rock n roll showmen that the world will ever see. He's right up there with David Lee Roth and David Bowie in terms of his stage antics and his vocal talent is among the top tiers as well. Some say he's not a great singer because he's so well known for his screaming. To those individuals I present exhibit A: listen to the songs "Crying" "Angel" and "I don't want to miss a thing."
He's a technical singer, technical singers tend to get better over time. He mastered Bel Canto, I remember this is the technique Opera Singers often train
He uses a ton of backing tracks BUT I just do not care. I am travelling to NYC from the UK just to say bye and thanks for memories. Steve Tyler is an utter legend and I cannot wait. Celebrate my youth. Gonna be an awesome night whatever they sound like
I mean, Aerosmith has bee doing its thing for so long, so popular but can you imagine 30 or 40 years ago, a group coming out with this song with this concept? They are real Revolutionaries and genuine Artists!!
My personal favorite is Livin' On the Edge. Played it often and loud in pool halls all over. What an American band, eh? I'm going to add that to my queue. I bet Steve could kick Vladimir Putin, the Butcher of Ukraine's ass from NY to the Alamo and back. I'm tired of watching this. I want to see what all the cool NATO weapons can do. If they'll ever use them. Find a new gear, NATO! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes! Stay in touch Paula Taylor Psychic! Later! - Thomas
This is easily their most fun song - Permanent Vacation marked the triumphant comeback of one of the best musical acts in contemporary music history. And the fact they still sound this good speaks volumes
Steven Tyler - an absolute rock legend, still amazing as ever in 2014. The melliennials may not know but this song is also from the iconic film, Mrs Doubtfire with the kegendary Robin Williams.
First saw them in 1972 in New Jersey. How can you ever forget? Anyhow, the Brits had some great composers and bands that performed really well in concert -- The Stones, The Who, T-Rex, etc. America has only this one: AEROSMITH.
A few things I think we should all take a moment to appreciate here. 1: Brad Whitford's solo, even though the camera never focuses on him during it. 2: The exceptionally good-looking woman at 2:33 and again at 2:56. 3: Joey Kramer driving the train like a fucking champ in the background during Joe Perry's solo.
Yo los escuché en vivo en mi ciudad La Plata en 2011 y 2016 el primero cantando bajo la lluvia porque quiso y también lo escuché en Córdoba en 2016 sigue impecable su voz y la banda genial 😁
Aerosmith thanks for staying together long enough to give us an incredible library! Very Few supergroups do this. Beatles, Stones, CSN come to mind there's Journey and others! Thankl You!
Saddens me that I live in the boondocks of Asia where Aerosmith won't ever be able to tour and I too might never be able to afford go to see this myself 😭
his voice is broken , absolutely broken ,overpowered , this is for real a voice immortality , his vocal cord need to be research , howd come it goes immortal
There is no Perry without Tyler and there is no Tyler without Perry. They are like the perfect team HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN TYLER ❤✌👌 GREETINGS FROM LOUSIANA Never judge a book by it's cover...
steven tyler é aquele tio que viveu os anos 70,80, 90 e 2000 intensamente, com várias histórias pra contar uma mais louca que a outra e a vibe que ele passa é que a velhice ainda nem passou perto dele.
The only thing I wish is that they didn't use the audio from the song for the chorus... I think it works for the "That, that" and the panned guitar bit, but come on steven. You got it in ya!
