Another suggestion would be-if you’re interested in UAV/Drones side of things, consider majoring in Computer Science/Engineering and a minor in Aerospace Engineering. You’re less likely to be stuck after graduating in getting a job in US. You’re more likely to learn the essential hardware/software skills too that a typical Bachelor’s in Aerospace tends to miss out since it can get very theoretical.

Great video and such good insights Mr Saif We have one question - You talked in detail about how it is difficult to get a job in United States after completing the Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering because of no Citizenship or no Green Card. You suggested to do Mechanical Engineering with some good amount of Aeronautical Engineering courses to secure a job in Companies like Airbus and Boeing. Our question is - why it is difficult to get a job in same Companies like Airbus and Boeing after a degree in Aeronautical Engineering but its easy to get the job in same Companies after doing a degree in Mechanical? Why will Airbus and Boeing distinguish a candidate between Aeronautical Engineering and Mechanical engineering if both of them do not have Citizenship or Green card?
@usalife8852
@usalife8852 4 дня назад
@@vikasmathur8718 Oh I see! You understood slightly different! What I tried to say is- if you take mechanical degree with some aerospace course you no longer bound to just take jobs in aerospace industry you can take jobs in mechanical and manufacturing industry as well including automotive so all fields are open for you as mech so-called is a very broad field. And for aerospace mostly you are bound to aerospace field which needs citizenship so all your door is almost getting closed! Let me know if it is not clear!

Hello sir! I am a UG from India who is just entering junior year in aerospace engineering at Texas A&M. Due to how my degree is structured, it's difficult for me to switch majors to mechanical engineering or even getting a minor in that as well. You said to take mechanical degree with some aerospace course you no longer bound to just take jobs in aerospace industry you can take jobs in mechanical and manufacturing industry as well including automotive so all fields are open I'm either planning to do integrated masters in aerospace engineering as it's cheaper since one less year, or attend a better college for masters in mechanical in engineering if possible (which I am unsure if I'm going to get accepted or not). I want to work in the aerospace sector but even the startups require GC/citizenship. I don't plan to go back to India to work. I hope to also travel the world whilst working in aero. I don't know about dual majoring in both mechanical/aerospace but that's a possibility I am open to if all goes well. What should I do? I feel Phd is too far as an option maybe, i feel master's is enough maybe. I am in a dilemma. Please help sir. My interests as of now are CAD, CFD, simulations, automotive industry (aero side). I like design aspect & coding isn't my strong suit

I am a counselor for undergraduate Aerospace students at UCLA and have had international students change their major from Aerospace to Mechanical because of security clearance even when they have become US citizens. It seems country of origin is linked to finding a good position in Aerospace. What do you think about a student that is from Iran for example going into Aero in the US?

But I have a great interest in this field. Even I want to give my 100% efforts.I want to build my career in this field. Can you please guide me in this career? For example, I have done undergraduate work in CSE, and now I want to go into aerospace engineering. How I will collaborate with them or provide step-by-step guide lines.

@@usalife8852 So,sir actually i am from Nepal and there is only few seats like 3 to 4 inorder to study undergraduate Aerospace level engineering and the cost is around 6-8 lakhs in nepali currency. So that's why i applied to china where bachelor's in aerospace engineering is for Nepalese students.
