To me I wasn't feeling the song but the production and dance was sooo good they did well with their live stages. I also am I very surprised that Giselle didn't go off. But its the debut single so we will see when they get a comeback.

As an SM stan, what I love about SM is their vocals + unique music!! However, I was surprised when I heard the song for the first time that it was not really that special and does not sound like an SM GG song. but still after couple of listens it grew on me and of course I loved their vocals so I'm supporting the girls and follow their content (although SM still did not give us anything till now!)

💗Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, the face of the group, vocalist, main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale. She is Korean. 🌙Giselle (Uchinaga Aeri) is the main rapper and a vocalist: her symbol is the moon and her spirit animal is a unicorn. She is half Japanese and half Korean. ⭐Winter (Kim MinJeong) is a lead dancer, lead vocalist and the visual of the group: her symbol is a star and her spirit animal is a Siberian Husky dog. She is Korean 🦋Ning Ning (Níng Yizhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger. She is Chinese. (Three more members are rumored to be joining) The translation of the song "Black mamba" is directly interconnected with the video and partly reveals the meaning of their universe, which is quite interesting and elaborate. The same can even be said about the name of the group itself. "Aespa" is divided into the letter combination "ae", consisting of the English initials "avatar" and "experience", and "spa", which stands for aspect. All together implies two sides (real and virtual world), which have united and created avatars that have absorbed their best qualities. As a result, they are virtual, but at the same time they have their own mind. Below I will talk more about the Aespa universe: A bright color palette, oversaturation with various details characterizes them not as a typical group in the girl crush style, who are simply characterized by this, but shows their universe as something unrealistic, fantastic, progressive in terms of technology, and the girls themselves as special heroines who took part in the experiment of the "Navi" system and who developed a strong connection with something incomprehensible, like virtual, but at the same time so real, copies of themselves (alter ego, to be more precise), who at the same time live in their separate existing in the real fantasy world "Kwangya". Aespa can coexist with their ae in a place called "Flat". Once, due to the "Black mamba" virus, the girls lost the ability to synchronize using the "Synk" application with their æ, whose world has now been swallowed up by some kind of evil, while the boundaries between reality and virtuality are becoming more transparent. Aespa is the only one who can solve this problem, so they decide to go to the world of "Kwangya", find and defeat the villainess. Based on the dark scene with Karina, "Black Mamba" either tried to lure her over to her side or already did it. Perhaps in the aftermath, Aespa will spend most of her storyline fighting the Black mamba along with her æ. And somehow along the way, SM will start to connect the story with all its others, thereby creating a common universe for all of its performers, which will be called SMCU (SM Culture Universe) - a common world based on artists and company concepts. Espa is their first project in this plan. As the name suggests, the concept appears to be based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Comics' Expanded Universe. Both superhero-based brands have numerous characters, movies, TV shows, books and more all set in the same shared world. Likewise, the SM Culture Universe is expected to bring together current and future SM Entertainment artists. In a statement, Lee Soo Man continued that SMCU will express artists and music through narrative content and is already set to include EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and more. ✨Prerequisites for the birth of SM Culture Universe✨ If you remember, in "One (Monster & Infinity)" from SuperM, in the last scene of the MV we see Taemin with an LG phone and a mysterious symbol appears on the phone. At the time this clip was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, after a while, the very first released video teaser of the Aespa group showed that it was actually their logo. Then in October, an unusual location appeared at the end of NCT U's recent music video "Make a Wish (Birthday Song)": a subway car filled with flowers. At first, fans thought this might be a hint of NCT's future concept. It turned out that the same scene is present in the music video for "Black Mamba" of the new girl group SM. And that's not all. The video has its own unique connection: the post-credits scene featuring one of the company's biggest artists, the lead singer of BOA. BOA is set to return with their 10th album Better on December 1st. A scene reminiscent of the concept of Aepsa Al's avatar also appeared in the recent video "202020 BoA", released to celebrate BoA's 20th anniversary since its debut. / Information about the members, and everything related to the SM Culture Universe, is official and taken from trusted sources "kprofiles" and "Koreaboo". I actually didn't expect it but I'm OBSESSED with this song *and* the MV 😍 Even with this one video you can see and hear how freaking talented they are. Which could be also bad because now my expectations are high for their future tracks/album.

This song sounds so good on Dolby stero, I mean, my speakers love the bass in this song. The chorus and vocals is catchy and memorable in my head. The visuals are impressive and the choreography is strong, especially that knee drop that the girls do is really cool. For a debut, I think it was a great start for these super cute Ladies. And, as they get more experience, they are only going to get better. I mean, Karina has already danced with Taemin and Kai, you can't get any better than that, 2 of the best dancers in that industry. She has an interesting dance resume. Anyway, this is a good effort from these Ladies, looking forward to their next video and song. Great reaction guys, as always. The blond one with a wave and some colouring on the tips is Winter, very light brown hair is Giselle and the one with darker brown hair and the one who wears the funky shades with silver hair in that scene is NingNing she looks a lot like Jennie from BP? Karina yes is the one with the darker hair who is mostly centre. It is rumoured that they will have another three members join the group.

Excellent point about wondering if they're doing too much. I can't explain but I felt the same way maybe someone could elaborate on it. I definitely enjoyed the song but I appreciated the choreography more than anything. The visuals were also a bit much for me to take in. Agreed on a lot of potential though.

good reaction guys ✌🏻 I was waiting for this reaction to see if they get scared when the black mamba attacks the camera 😂 I liked it a lot because the song revolves around the world of Aespa, the choreography is great, mainly that step on the floor, the voices are pleasant and the sound catchy, Perhaps the only thing missing was the rap part but even without that the song sounds good, besides we already saw Guiselle's ability in rap 👍🏻

I'm totally with ace. I wasn't really impressed the first time I watched the mv. But the more I listen to the song, watching their stages and just recently watched their dance practice, now I'm really digging the song and the performance.
