Defenetive remember that part. In the cutscene at the battle against Delusion Childe, Aether’s elemental lights became both Yellow Geo and Cyan Anemo as one hand used thr anemo wind to block Childe’s attack as Aether’s feet creates Geo crystals from the floor ti deliver a suprise attack that damaged Childe’s delusion mask
@@spore4893 right? He definitely an avatar. Aether can even make a electric shock now since he can manipulate Electro and Hydro. Hoyo should highlights Traveler power more. I know that if they make Traveler more shining in the cutscenes than the featuring character (Navia in this video) the limited character will not get an introduction in term of power. But, Traveler power is inconsistent as fuck.
@@salwaahmadz6215 yeah. If Aether is going to face The Tsaritsia the Cryo Hydro, Pedro the leader of the Fatui and former royal magician of the Khanr’ia royal family, the top 3 Harbingers of Fatui who arr equal in power of a Archon such the Captain, Dotore and Colobina, then his sister Lumine and her Abyss Powers and then face off against The Sustailer of the Heavenly Principles who rules over Celestia and is the Second descender, Aether needs to master all of Teyvat’s 7 elements so he can freely switch in between before finaly breaks his seal that was put on keeps Aether’s true power
@@spore4893 I just imagining that in the end of chapter, Tsaritsa being Traveler's ally and then give all of 7 gnosis to Traveler. Shit gotta be crazy as hell
@@salwaahmadz6215 we don’t know what story awaits ous in the Cryo Archon quest in 2 years where Genshin will celebrate it’s 5th anniversary, but also let’s not forget that massive plot twist revealed by Skirk that the Gnosis are pieces of the 3rd Descender
This awesome cutscene is also a slap on their face, Aether here "I don't need statue of seven to change element. Who cares about game mechanic" Edit: LED
if its about switching during combat then its a bad mechanic but if its switching when out of combat then its good the reason its bad is cus of weapon / artifact swapping
I mean Geo isnt really great for gameplay but if you think about it from the usage of the element irl/in game, its a really versatile element being able to build platforms as well as create constructs that are either pure combat oriented or something like a shield to protect
Can't wait for the developers to come out in a few years and say: "So yeah, now you can have a memento of the great time you spent finding these occuli."
@@revivemefellas9637 since we don't have all 7 elements it makes sense why we can't swap... though seeing how inthe cutscenes we can do that i assume it's a feature we players are getting teased to having later on.
I made my artifacts with a focus on crit rate/dmg and Elemental mastery and kept the same set for all elements cause I’m too lazy to change them after each element switch
I feel like it won't be Snezhnaya that we'd get that ability, maybe in K'hanreyah we'll get an item or gadget that mimics the powers of the statue, allowing us to switch mostly on the fly
Love how cutscenes show why traveller is considered so ridiculously broken in the lore. Imagine being a regular dude and this guy runs at you at this speed and destroys a massive boulder
He runs with wind and lighting, shoots a saber of water that can destroy a rock and then throws a blade of razor sharp leaves and them fucking Breaks the ground
Finally, Devs did not forget that traveler can easily switch element mid fight. Though, I hope he will someday used multi element again. Last time he used multiple elements was during the Childe Fight.
My only guess for why the twin doesn't do that is to prevent people to see them using multiple elements at the same time. Agains't Childe it doesn't matter because he knew like every Harbringers that the traveler is a descender. Its been 2 years since we saw the twin use its power, i thought they forgot about it or didn't have any good reason to reuse them.
I'm glad they are showing Aether's elemental and physical capabilities, lorewise is one of the strongest beings in Teyvat already and he has two more elements to acquire, aside his original power Both he and Navia were great, truly the best of partners! 🥰
@@kannan07 yeah, that's exactly what I wrote 😑 Saying that he has two more elements to get, means he already has five Only then Mihoyo will let him regain his original power as well
@@kannan07I think a part of his power is still there, but Traveler does not notice it. Like in the beginning when he purified the Crystal covered in abyssal element; he/she was using light element. Or in other words, the traveler’s ability to purify/negate abyssal energy is one of their many original power
As a Traveler Main, my sister thought the Traveler is useless and powerless MC, but when she saw this scene her jaw drop down on the floor it was majestic to witness it...
I hope Mihoyo gives Aether a good Pyro element, the Traveler has tons of Potential, he is a very versatile character but for now we have, water pistol.
I find it funny that they made hydro traveler shit, and that we'll get fire next and never use hydro again which would be funny due to Tanjiro abandoning water breathing for fire/sun breathing.
No one really noticed it, but this cutscene was one of the first times we got to see characters use their Elemental Bursts in a cutscene! I think we've only seen Xiao's Mask (Evil Conquering) or the Musou no Hitotachi, but I might be wrong.
1st in Liyue, simultaneously using Anemo nd Geo 2nd in Sumeru, switched from Dendro to Anemo ( shattering barrier in Nahida's consciousness ) 3rd "this video" I cant seem to remember other than these 3
@deathwingthedestroyer3632 I think it's Anemo, it's not Dendro because dendro can't have that kind of animation also it's colored blue like how the traveler uses Anemo
That is exactly what I am talking about. They make traveler so weak to make other characters shine. Current traveler should at least be on a adeptus level if not archon level. So he should have easily dealt with all of those but than navia wouldnt be the center of her own story mission. So they make you believe this guys can fight a mecha bigger than all of those rocks combine but cant stop bunch of rock rolling.
I agree to an certain extent. Traveler's fighting prowess and speed are given a lot of love in cutscenes like this, but their elemental abilities don't get to shine as much. They also just don't get as many cool showcases of power compared to other characters. However, I wouldn't say that makes the traveler come off as weak. Using this situation specifically, the traveler doesn't really have an ability in their arsenal to deal with all those rocks. The closest ones are the Geo abilities (which are used more defensively from what I can tell) and the Anemo tornado (only strong enough to pick up smaller objects and regular sized people). Also your point loses some impact (imo anyway) after mentioning that Navia would obviously get the spotlight since it's her story quest. I do think that hoyo does need to get better at showcasing the traveler's power (even in character-specific quests), but I still wouldn't say that what they're doing now makes traveler look weak. Edit: One more thing: I rewatched the scene and the traveler didn't look like he was having trouble or even thought he was going to have trouble. He was going to take care of it before Navia stepped in and asked to leave it to her.
@@QTRemnant dude I am generally talking about the story not just character story quests. lets be honest human characters like diluc, jean, eula doesnt even come close to Traveler after inazuma arc. but even in event cutscenes where you have to finish inazuma arc traveler watches those guys kick ass while sitting. main reason they cant make all playable characters archons and they have to sell this characters with quest to hype them up. Traveler needs to be next to them because we are looking at them from his perspective but he cant steal the spotlight because It would make them look lame and people wont get hyped to get them. It is literally a sale trick. that is the thing bothers me. I love the style of these characters. I did get navia despite losing 50/50 AGAIN(seriously it is more like 20/80)
@@bugrahanmehmetkarakelle8817 I'm not really sure how that's a problem for the story. Unless those characters (the ones that aren't adeptus or archon level) are shown taking on enemies that the traveler struggles with, then having them get the spotlight and kick ass against people on their level should be fine. I don't know. Most likely, I just don't or can't understand why it would be bothersome.
I think this is clear evidence that they don’t really care about the Travelers. He can’t even come up with normal lore about their worlds. Only there is something on “The Wing and the Sword of Descent” and in others everything is silent.
Imagine when we visited all Nations and master all of the Seven Elements, the Traveler is gonna be the Avatar and fight either the Tsarita or Unknown God as like the Showdown between Aang and Firelord Ozai though I feel like there is someone way more powerful than those two in this foodchain of Gods
So he can send a literal floating building down onto a water god, go head-to-head with a serial killer with a mech suit TWICE, but he can’t stop a rockslide. Great. Fantastic.
This was more of a Navia cutscene than an Aether one, which is... I mean, I get it, but it's not really something I'm happy about. Like, after breaking one boulder Aether just sits back and lets Navia handle it. He could have at least blocked the shrapnel from the big boulder coming at her or broke a couple more in the background of the Navia cutscene instead of just standing there watching xD
Finally I see Aether using elements in cutscene! I was kinda angry that they didn't show Aether in any fight cutscene during Fontaine archon quest. This is a small compensation but I will take what I can. 🎉❤ I really want to see more of a Traveler's battle capabilities but I guess I need to wait for Ufotable anime for that 😂
i wish we had more scenes with him using other elements and utilazing his powers. all of the 9 elements (including light and dark) are inside of him part of his og power, statues resonate with the power already locked inside him and restore his powers little by little. this is why they call it resonate, he doesnt recieve elemental powers, statues of the seven just help revesrse whatever the sustainer did to him XD
I was using Geo traveler when I did Navia's story quest so I thought it was different for every element. 💀 I was already imagining how they'd do it with Hydro and Anemo lmao.
what im more shoked about (that i shouldnt be shocked about) is that this is the only cutscene where a character uses an elemental burst AND shows the camera angle we see ingame
This will be the first and probably last time we'll see the Traveler uses elemental power in a story quest Edit: y'all in the replies really can't differentiate archon quest and story quest 💀
Lore Traveler: A battle-hardened warrior god (once) capable of traversing universes at whim. Strong enough to battle the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles to a standstill until she got a lucky shot off on one of the twins and distracted the other, making the Traveler stronger then even the archons Game Traveler: Help. I am wittle babby who can do nothing. Oh no, weakling mortal Signora is beating me to a pulp noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee This is like Doom Slayer being able to slide a multi-ton stone by punching it but being unable to punch a zombie (literally the single weakest enemy in the game) to death in gameplay.
Well this is a gacha game what did you expect? Ofcourse the MC is gonna be ass. That’s how they make money, they make MC ass so people buy other characters. They let other characters outshine the traveler so they can get their sweet ass cash. That’s why Genshin is the most money making gacha game ever
He used geo while also using anemo in the cutscene with Childe before he got to the Rex Lapis exuvia to take the gnosis and realizing there's no gnosis there. There is also a dialog option that suggests that collecting all of the elements is the equavivalent of returning to his full power. Idk if it's exactly the same with Lumine, but should be.
the fact that he didnt even bother to stop nor destroy those rocks to pieces and just let it roll. i can imagine some unfortunate bystanders got caught up in an accident lolololol
@@Mondy667 Yeah, I clearly saw the rocks rolling down the dirt road next to Poisson. That's actually supporting the above argument🤣. Imagine people evacuating Poisson with the necessities down the road and then Two Boulders hit them from behind. Well done Traveller👍
Wow, this Aether can change elements at will and beat people on his own, but the game version forces you to go to a statue, pull him out just to switch his element
There will be chaos in the controls , if aether can change elements without statue and even do elemental reaction on his own with two elements(like time in game slows down while making those combos)
Last time we saw traveller changed/used other elements is in Childe boss fight if im not wrong. That's 3 years ago. And the last time using elemental power in a cutscene is in Inazuma.
this might be a foreshadowing for a late game mechanic where the traveler can switch on different elements on field once we resonated with all the 7 or once we restore some of the travelers stolen powers
I swear, we are not "switching characters" when we play the game, that's just visual and Aether is actually dancing like Barbara or Kokomi when we use them...
This actually confused the hell out of me and make me think _"Hol up, did they just make a separate animation for every element???"_ because at the time, i just finished exploring liyue and ofc my traveler was using geo 😅
Both times he’s used two elements at once, one has always been Geo- so either he’s gotten a really good grasp of the element and mastered it better then the others- or bro’s got a favorite archon 😂
@@Filhy123 I swear bro sometimes the traveler becomes god level and then he becomes as weak as an NPC💀. Hyping up characters like this is so bad. It's understandable with Childe or Neuvillette as they are actually strong asf but Navia is literally a normal vision user
@@cancer5950 Yeah why they make him scare of some little rocks bro? He won to two harbingers and against two gods with a little help. He summoned a giant electric sword to fight raiden. Just to the same
@@Filhy123 bro even stopped god level robot with his bare hands for some seconds but can't do the same for a damn rock. Rock is god level confirmed 😂😂😂
So he can change elements at will. I wish there was a game mechanic for that where we could change the Traveler's current element while exploring or when in combat, instead of us having to use a region Archon Statue to change elements...
'Canonically' the traveler doesn't need to resonate with the statues to change elements, that's just a game mechanic. They can use all the elements at any time. it just is not an easy thing to code in like 'hot swapping' elements, not to mention the different abilities sometimes base off different stats like ATK, EM, HP, etc. It's similar to how in like Destiny 2 we can only use supers when fully charged, but 'canonically' guardians can use their supers/abilities as often as they want.
I always forget that lore-wise he can switch between elements immediately and only activating it for the first time requires interaction with the statue
yeahI know hey ..proof that the traveler does not need to resonate with the statues to use the elements on a whim ... So i wonder if they will now make this part of the Travellers kit be able to change elements with a click of a key on the board ..just imaging being able to change elements during combat ..
I don't even mind not being able to change elements freely if we play Traveller. I'm fine with more cutscenes that show the Traveller fighting like the Avatar... I want to see the faces the opponents make when the Traveller is throwing random elements at them.
If only show writers could not powercreep a character because the plot need something to happen Like Navia falling into the sea, we are so much faster then that and could have catched her An easy way to solve that was the falling rocks created huge waves so the water flung up high Idk still a bit unrealistsic but at least no power creep
