AEW, try and sell some tickets to the shows please | Bryan & Vinny Show 

There's very little wrestler consistency on AEW. I know every smackdown I am seeing Cody, but I have no idea on any given show if MJF/Danielson/others will be there. You can't even buy tickets to shows a few months ahead with AEW, because who knows who will be available for those shows. With WWE I know who is on Raw/Smackdown and know who will be on shows months in advance. No way I am buying a ticket to Raw without knowing Jey is going to be on the show, but I know barring injury he will be there every freaking week

Absolutely true. And even if you know they're there for Dynamite, you don't really know what "story" they'll be participating in, because AEW has a real problem with being consistent about what motivates the characters on its shows. People have to have that confidence to buy tickets, to say nothing of buying tickets without knowing the matches.

The hilarious reason they haven't changed is "Because they like the bigger facilities and space of the bigger stadiums". AEW should exclusively do 3,000 people arenas until they get 10 straight sell outs

The whole reason Tony hired Jeff Jarrett was too book venues. Jeff knows the people who run the buildings and he knows what towns can handle 4,000-8,000 in ticket sales. Yet they're still booking 15,000 seat arenas. It's so strange. College basketball arenas are the size AEW needs, plus they're located in college towns so lots of 18-24 year olds living close to the arena. That should be their booking philosophy right now

@@ChaseSchleich I doubt Jeff is actually making those decisions. Which is probably why he is still active as a wrestler. His actual job he doesn't get to decide because they still go to these big arenas cause TK wants to feel important

@@ChaseSchleich It's because Rafael Morfi, who now books the Barclays Center, booked these large arenas for AEW originally and Tony likes tradition over practicality. It's why All Out is in Chicago every year even though they should be going to other cities.

It's called getting people TV time and extra money. The WWE used to do that for however long but recently decided "higher ticket prices because our marks will pay anything to see yet another Bloodline-related angle but fewer people on the card so we make more money" is better. And, yeah, business-wise, it is. But for the performers it sucks. The jury's still out if "the business" is more important than the "workers" - and I don't mean just in wrestling.

@@horgh_japanits garbage TV and it drives people away. Put people who the fans want to see on TV, make people feel important, make stars, give people a reason to tune in next week. Dont give them the same 8-10 man zero psychology spotfest bullshit week after week because eventually fans realise that none of those 8-10 men are special or important because its constantly the same shit. You can skip 4 weeks of AEW TV and not miss anything.

Because the first year they sold and promoted every show, every time they went somewhere new. Tickets were selling out in 30 minutes. They were announcing and planning stories over months so you knew what you were going to get weeks ahead. This is a show happening this week and I have no idea if Danielson vs Nigel is happening or if its just a story and Danielson isn't healthy to wrestle (because their convoluted storyline made it super vague what the situation is). They also don't have MJF on this show, even if its in his freaking area. Swerve isn't on the show, Omega isn't on the show, Who knows if Britt/Tony Storm and others will be there. There is a made up tag team of Ospreay taking the tag spot that the outrunners should have. This past few months of AEW TV have been super confusing and terrible. All Out was great and exciting but critiquing AEW doesn't mean I am trolling. Saying AEW should be better isn't trolling. Its being a real fan

@@blablablaa14 CM Punk did not sell all of those tickets to Wembley. He was barely announced for All In a week before the show when they had already sold over 75k tickets. And if Punk was such a draw, why did attendance numbers for Collision after the debut in Chicago with him on every show go down per week? Just a few weeks ago at All Out, the show with Hangman in the main event sold almost as many tickets as All Out 2022 with Punk in the main event going for the title. In fact, in the final week of ticket sales, Hangman sold more tickets for his main event than Punk did for his main event in 2022. This Streisand effect that Punk was the only ticket mover in AEW is false. Hangman and Kenny were just as big ticket movers as Punk, and even more in some cases. And the only person to blame for Punk not being in AEW anymore is Punk.

Hendry is an internet meme guy like Danhausen. They don't NEED to put any belt on him, especially given that he's not officially with WWE. Just put him out there and say "Huh do your internet comedy meme stuff!" and voilà. The WWE wisely fear that one day he might lose his internet meme value or, worse yet, they'll have him do stuff that fans turn on and he'll lose his coveted meme lord status.

Mexican fans have enjoyed "chaotic" tag matches for decades. But I guess Mexicans don't know "good" pro wrestling.

Its criminal what the Bucks have done to tag wrestling. All the things that make Tag Team wrestling great are things the Bucks either cant or wont do. I really though Black and Gold era NXT was a renaissance for tag team wrestling but it never really happened, now we’ve got this shit.

Seems like my reply got hidden. Fans of lucha have been enjoying this style of match for generations. However plenty of malcontents whine that they "don't get it" and when done in North America it's awful. Again, different tastes for different folks. When Matt and Jeff Hardy ran around doing their OMEGA backyard act, some older fans grumbled, Decades later they're being called legends and trailblazers.
