In the 60s and 70s it was mainly left-wing groups - later it became right-wing "nationalist" and racist factions. There have been many "extreme" decisions in respect of political ideologies in Germany. The "Berufsverbot" for Communists was unbelievable. On the other hand, all countries have their "Secret Services", BND, etc. We have to live with this, but should maintain a critical outlook on state control.
