I am wanting to get this intake..your video helped alot..im just wondering will the warranty be voided if i install in my trx? And how long have you had it for? Did you face any problems after installation? Would appreciate your response . Thanks
Most dealerships won’t care if you do a cold air intake since if anything happens to the truck it is very unlikely the CAI had anything to do with it. They would have to prove it did so a lot of people just do it. You should be fine and no I have had no issues at all
I have this intake as well. I choose it cause it looked better, kept the easter egg, more whine and if you hit wide open throttle you will be solid 11psi touching 12 occasionally while mine with the stock airbox was 10psi touching 11 occasionally i just wish someone would do a dybo before and after.
Yeah I was hoping afe would have dyno’d it..I’m actually not sure if there is some charts out there on this who knows but I also went with this cai for all the same reasons as you.
@@epap1375 don’t think the chart was out when I made the video it came out later. But unless we are all there watching the dyno in person who knows if it’s actually what they say it is, wouldn’t be the first time a company just made up numbers I’m not saying AFE is lying but they should show a video of the dynotest being done just my opinion
Hey dude I got the borla atak exhaust on my trx but it almost completely drowns out the super charger sound. Do you think if i get this intake ill be able to hear it again or is it not that much of a sound difference and i should maybe go for jmb or bwoody.
@@Lagolifestyle that is good to know. I was not sure what the benefits are supposed to be. I heard a “tuner” talk about the stock air box being restrictive so it can filter dirt better since it’s an off road truck. Good video and thank you for the response.

Most people who build these up either have a custom intake or switch to an aftermarket but if you don’t plan on modding it then don’t think it’s worth it they say the stock TRX air box is pretty good since it’s so big already. I bought it just to hear the supercharger more
It shouldn’t but some dealerships can be sticklers but usually cold air intake or an exhaust is ok to do without voiding warranty I did them on all my cars
Why didn’t you film the lnstall that would have been interesting to see. I have an AFE intake on my Jeep SRT and really all I got is much better sound, it was worth it for me. 🫥🫥🫥
A few people filmed it already and afe has their own install video so didn’t think it was necessary plus I installed it when it was like 90 degrees out my patience ran low really quick 😂
