Thank you so much for making this video. I have some SPD and Microfine and have only used them with Acros and used Rodinal and XTOL for other films. I was also thinking about taking superprodol and trying to test different times with different films and publish the results on Massive Dev Chart. I have been thinking about doing a developer comparison and posting some images of the same rolls of HP5, Acros, Delta and Tmax in each developer but I wasn’t sure there was any demand.

Hey Steven, I've had the same experience developing with Fujifilm Microfine. I've had to guess the development times for non Fujifilm films like HP5 and Tri X and adjust the times as required. Good thing that we like developing! 😀

@@StevenTanno Today is also my development day. Though I will be developing HP5, Kentmere 400 and Delta 3200 (@1600) all using Kodak TMax developer. So no guess work is required today...🙂

Hi Steven, thanks a lot for your efforts regarding analogue photography! My main developer has been Ilford Microphen together with HP4 and 5. This was many decades ago. Surfing in the net I found very interesting informations about a developer named Harvey 777. This must be a very mystical chemistry. Did you hear something about this developer? And again thanks a lot from a very proud owner of a mint NikonF w Photomic Ftn plus an eye lebel finder which makes the F even look sexier… ;-)

I really enjoy your explorations of film related topics. I have a backlog of film that I have shot but have yet to develop. Film of many various formats. For years I have been reluctant to try developing my own b&w and color films because I do not have adequate room for the tools needed for traditional film developing. But I’ll soon be experimenting with the techniques I’m finding in content like yours. Thank you!

Hi, regarding b&w developing you need only a dark room, best is a bathroom.

I've started using SPD, but i also had to guess the development time, it's crazy there's not much information available, maybe we should start a database (but i don't know how)

Hi Steven, how did you scan your 35mm film for this video? Did you use the Nikon PB-6 + PS-6 or something else?
@StevenTanno

I am using a Minolta film scanner for 35mm film and using DSLR scanning the 120 film.
