Just to be super pedantic, neither Elizabeth nor Graham pronounce "Báthory" correctly. In Hungarian, it would have been pronounced "BA-toe-ree" (stress on the first syllable, long O, long E). The Báthory family was incredibly wealthy and influential in the Kingdom of Hungary--ruling Transylvania at the time while another cadet branch ruled the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth--and putting one of the nobility to death, even for serial murder, was too much, hence she was imprisoned in her castle (either bricked into her bedroom or permitted to move about her home freely). All the stories of the blood bathing were written more than a century after Elizabeth's death; she was a far more conventional serial killer--insofar as those exist. 1:52:26 um.. they didn't use the chance cards form the game. they used the base cards. and they were also missing the vampire cards that came with it. the vampire cards have everything you need to know about being a vampire..

In terms of fan game versions; Like ye, having to work with the board and cards would be tough, you'd have to edit it together for the timing to work out, or make new cards. But you could also dub over the original, like sync up a different challenge or event to when the host pops up, has the benefit of the cards already being timed up better.

I really appreciate going out of your way to make the set a bit more spooky and dark. Like we can still see you but it still mixes nicely with the game. A bright set is a little jarring.

I think the idea is that your playing humans that are chosen harbingers of the named monsters....like you've been kidnapped and they're putting you through some sort of obstacle course for their own amusement and like if you win, then the monster you're representing wins some sort of bet.
Well when the gatekeeper hosts it, the story is that he is the guardian of de Chantraine, Khufu, Hellin, Gevaudan, Baron Samedi and Báthory who challenge him. If you win, then these people are released, if you lose then they remain trapped. Well that’s my view on it
The name was changed because in good old UK, we had a show called Knightmare. And it was so 80s it hurt, so we had the name change, so we were 4 years ahead of the USA getting Atmosfear
Awesome job guys! Ever since Atmosfear 1, I always imagined the day you'd come to final part until the Harbingers. Really wish they done Khufu but they didn't have money. And the DVD version is garbage. Enjoy the Harbingers!

@@dapperloser3025 These ones look really sloppy design wise. The ones I know - _Atmosfear : The Harbingers_ and _Atmosfear : The Soul Rangers_ played very well and still retained a fairly sinister vibe throughout.
I know I am late to the party but your missing the chance cards for this game which give you more chances to gain black rose cards. Still you lot rolled really unlucky and was fun to watch
As crap as the game is, ya gotta give it some props. Makeup artist did a great job, The drive they had to make a multiverse of board game monsters, Each monster bringing in a new mechanic,
Have fun with atmosphere it is a way better game used to play it religiously on a weekly basis growing up and maybe won 3-4 times tops can't wait to watch you play it

Well if it were likely, the game was going to be likely set up to do some gambling as the host khufu was some type of casino owner who'd put players into games to gamble treasures.
I just notice that the vampire don't have their "Vampire Cards Roleplay". 😮😮 When you become a vampire you have to roll the dice, you still playing. 🫡 Vampire need to guest what number you will rolls if it will be odd or not. Then if you guest successfully, roll the dice again. 1 take a "blood card "to your pray / 2 You can try 2 assault on your pray when its stop on X tombstone on your next turn / 3 You can attack your pray on any tombstone on your next turn / 4 Give one of your" blood card" to an other player / 5 Take a "black Rose card" to your pray and put it back in end of the deck / 6 Pick a "Fate card" if is a "Blood card" keep it to increase you are power if it isn't put it back at the end of the deck.
you know this game is awful but I will say one thing that made this slightly more interesting is the oldest/youngest actually can actually change thanks to the vampire thing, so there is more mixing up of who is targeted assuming you play this with the same group multiple times (because you hate yourself?)
Nightmare originated in Australia, and other places like USA, Canada and New Zealand used the same name. Outside those regions, it was referred to as Atmosfear. Then once Harbingers came around, the series was renamed Atmosfear everywhere else.
