Process and protocols should be there to ensure transparency in the best interests of law abiding citizens. Instead they are being used to protect murderers who are out in our communities.
These bureaucrats live and work isolated from the regular citizenry and function in a circular, self-congratulatory and rewarded environment. So it's not surprising that they talk smug waffle and deliberate obfuscation.
The utter arrogance and contempt, increasingly displayed by elected officials and the public service bureaucrats, is disgusting . The general population has lost any form of control or recourse to address it's safty concerns and interests while these people run roughshod over it's citizens.
The more brash, arrogant and blatantly open they act, it means only one thing. That is their control is becoming more consolidated and soon will be acting as open, frequent and arrogant as in the USA. Australia it seems is not too far behind American corruption.
Our political masters are too busy bowing down to minority and special interest groups to even think about what is best for the country. Some of these individuals should be charged with treason.
I was going to say its easy for us armchair generals to criticise, but as I watched on I tended to agree! I may have problems wiping my behind, but I’m sure I could have come with better prepared briefings about 3 cases!
I agree! They are puppets of the cabal! They are evil and not for the Australian people! If they were for the people, they would have arrested the present tyrannical government officials!
And the senate president Protests at asking those questions. Every day I believe more in the boys club free marsons that controls Australia and protects each other.
He wasn't even asking for their names or home addresses, he was simply asking how many of the alleged murderers were charged with breaching their VISA conditions. Giving an answer to that question would not have been a breach of privacy.
@@gregwaghorn8496 Yes it's a dangerous area to be in - if honest and decent. Just the kind of people we need are the ones that are pursued and destroyed. This has to change.
He protected the traitor politician. He's as bad as the rest of them. His excuse of a possible defamation case was one of the most pathetic reasons I've ever heard for covering up a traitor, let alone a traitor that was a politician.
@keithdrower9120 well at least he's asking questions regarding our safety and security not like our tictok pm... who is not interested in anything more than Toto, engagements and 1st class holidays...
I think you mean a loop hole in the law. Arrive illegally, BRREAK there issued VISA requirements and don't get deported! I immigrated legally 17 years ago, spent thousands and had to jump through hoops, pay hundreds on 2 medicals, fill out 120 pages of paperwork , have 2 family friends give me character references as well as UK and Australian police checks then have formal interviews and present genuine copies of my various certificates. I should have arrived illegally, found a woke lawyer and saved thousands ehh@@PBMS123
The more “ jewellery “ the po po display, the faster I run from ‘em. I cross the road to avoid any po po that may happen to come to my area for coffee etc. we have no police stationed here. Like our previous area, they are a good 20 minutes away. We are lumped in with all the areas poor auburn look after. The population here is growing very quickly and is extremely diverse. A hot pot as such. Our car parks are full of cars like mclarens( if u get my drift) ,teslas, at least bmws( lotsa money displayed- where does that come from? Hmmmm….) and a distinct lack of presence. All the “ institutions “ have fallen , bought and paid for. ICAN only hope the senator remains safe and maintains his honour, integrity.
Look at all the AFP members in the meeting, they all have more medals than a US General. Most are for things like being at a commonwealth heads of state conference or doing 10 years service. How have most of them got a bravery award ? Look atwww.afp.gov.au/sites/default/files/PDF/how-to-wear-medals-guide.pdf
It had become apparent this past 50 odd years why women were never placed into positions of power. This includes the facts that; women can't bear or accept criticism, will not acknowedge or take responsibility for their shortcomings and mistakes, seek out others to blame (usu. men or women they dislike) and will exhibit prejudice based on their feelings. If "feelings" rule over "facts", then good luck if are called before a female judge.@@jamesdanton9033
I am a woman and I agree. Any job should be based on merit not gender. So my dear boys you are not alone in your feelings...I just loved that section on the falling like Rome in a sychronised swimming team....This is a classic statement. Hugs to the opposite sex.
@@deborahgallo6730 Me too. Firsthand experience. Fill the quota. Get the tick of approval. Pats on the back all round. Priorities change. Standards slip. Workplace cohesion disintegrates...
It seems that these people are just activists and have no idea of how to be transparent, honest and clear. They seem to be hiding something or are they just corrupt? I have no faith in them and when something horrific happens in Australia - they will all be missing in action and blaming everyone else for their incompetence and negligence!
5km over the speed limit and you get hammered. Wish I was illegal migrant they’d just let me go and thank me for wasting their time. How do these police get so many medals, where are the men.
is how they collect revenue so they can release more criminals in our society so they can pay more gaol workers a wage to watch over them in the day care center
How much taxpayers money is sitting in that room discussing things, which if the Green Labor Party were competent in their job wouldn’t need to be discussed🤬🤬🤬
7 highly paid individuals and yet they still need to take things on notice. Why are we the tax payer paying these individuals if they can’t answer questions or be truthful with Australians.
Because we let people like them get those positions. You can't pay tax like a slave to the government then complain when there are like this we are all responsible being tax paying slaves
because they dont have that specific answer at that time. Further if its not something they manage or store the information about, then why would they have the info.
Thank you Senator Paterson for attempting to bring light to some very dark agencies. Sorry the Chair censured such robust question time. The AFP should be censured for its recalcitrant behaviour. 🙏
It's embarrassing just listening to them.! Thanks to Senator Paterson for standing up for us, and revealing the real truth about the way they are not doing their job properly at all. We are not safe in our own country.
As a former AFP Police Officer, I can see that these uniformed public servants have had little real Policing experience from the manner of how they present themselves. They have clearly followed a path of self promotion with little regard to the true nature of 'the job'. A total embarrassment. I also note that the 50/50 quoter of male to female has now moved to more females in the higher ranks than males. Self serving incompetents who have little interests in adhering to their oath of office.
The hubris of this commission and the AFP however hard they try to veil the fact is evidenced by the lack of transparency, answers, information and honesty. The smirks don't lie.
I have seen him question the same AFP officer before, the Scotsman and he did identically the same back peddling and didn't know anything or had to take something on advisement. Never prepared for anything deliberately, should be fired for incompetence.
Just another total shit show , even the "chairperson" is clearly not medically fit for this very important "talk fest" meeting so WhyTF not organise a replacement earlier .Questions for AFP submitted weeks earlier and still no answers , they're all taking the piss on the taxpayer's money, and clearly not fit for purpose .
Senator James Paterson you have more intelligence and discernment than this whole panel put together !! You truly are honourable, well articulate and boldly astute !!
We certainly wouldn't want to make ourselves look bad by letting everyone know what type of people we are releasing. At some point can we get an ideological audit of the people running this country?
They are heroes in front of women and children and elderly people but hard criminals they are hiding behind rules 😂 pathetic bunch of bureaucrats, no wonder the crime is skyrocketing in Australia ,I am curious how this criminals got their visa? because if you had any offence even the speed fines you have been denied visa .
You’re a hard working, decent, intelligent, ethical guy ! James, I think I’d sleep a lot a better at night if you were PM ! Thank you for your service 😊
You can see how another country with sinister intent could easily get into Australia and wreak havoc. To think our nation security is in the hands of such inept people is just astounding. It would be nice it someone would grow a ball and make some real decisions that will stop this madness. Thank you Senator for your keen questioning and holding some highly paid incompetent people to account.
What exorbitant salaries do we have to pay to Public Servants, that cannot have answers ready for predictable questions. Is this "Yes Minister"or just blondes on parade.
Every time I watch James Paterson questioning these charlatans he has them running in circles, umming and arring and taking things on notice. He's such a boss interrogator and has my total respect and admiration.
I'm nauseated watching these highly paid insufferably arrogant public servants refusing to answer reasonable questions put in the public interest. If these despicable but very expensive clowns are allegedly protecting Australia, God help us all. Thankyou, senator Paterson... At least you're trying to do your job. Not much of that about, unfortunately.
James ,You’re brilliantly dry. Love it. You should have the decorations , Not the arrogant ,overpaid to be Secretive , to protect What & for/Whom ? Justice Is the Truth. Evidence should Not be With held.
This is where our taxes go..feeding these bureaucrats..what would happen if these criminals were let lose in Indonesia...there would be no repeat offenders ..Australia a sick joke..
Loving James Patersons questions and disappointed inntne ATP - they sound like the keystone cops! We have the right to know what and who these people are!
These criminal’s are laughing all the way to the bank, what a deplorable display of Labour’s incompetence to govern. Another public display of wasted tax payers money. How do the public servants hold down their jobs? Never anyone’s responsibility.
@samsung😂 and Op, we should all start to answer to government departments with this phrase and see if it's as effective for us!@@SamsungSamsung-md9xq
I love how they’ve bought two young blondes along. It’s all in the presentation huh? They’re all corrupt or coerced. Time for a changing of the guard as such.
One wonders? What was so important the head of the AFP would decline a request of an offical government body. Then also to not inform the enquiry first but media. Then last minute enquiry. For this absence. Sounds just like the FBI. No respect for government proccess? Does there have to be annual contracts for employment in government. Made to re-apply so there is the ability to remove.
These senate enquiries remind me of that part of a travelling sideshow where you find the stall with the laughing clowns. Instead of feeding a ball down the clowns mouth, you feed it a question and take one in eight chance that your question will be answered.
No surprise here, we have witnessed the form of the AFP over the last 10 years. The AFP believe they are above the public who pay their salaries. It's time to restructure the AFP.
I cannot believe the arrogance of these AFP members. I love how the make AFP member passes the buck onto the female officers, but then interrupts and does not allow them to answer or explain themselves.
So point of note, if you ever have to answer to the AFP, "I'm not sure why that happened" is a perfectly fine answer to give to all questions. If it's good enough for them it should be for us, if not this joker should be fired.
Clearly the Labor federal government has no idea what they are doing and nothing is being done to protect the public from hardened criminals who are in Australia illegally. What confidence can any citizen have in the AFP if what has been presented her is the case. The AFP should know where these criminals are at all times and take immediate actions if their bail conditions are not met.
All decked out like Argentinian admirals yet don't seem to be able to answer simple questions, maybe the weight of all that hardware is wearing them out. Would save a lot of time to just ask them what they do know.
The chair-woman is an absolute disgrace. Her voice was as infuriating as the words she was using to interrupt very valid questions. I'm sure she wouldnt have a problem with the questions being asked if it was related to one of these criminals doing something to someone she knows personally. Congratulations to the gentleman who kept his composure while asking questions that all Australians rightfully want to know.
Can someone tell me what are all of the badges of achievement on the AFP officers. What does it mean. I would say it means its going to mean its a pension for life.
I love how detailed and prepared you are Senator. These officers (and the chair) must not have any family to fear for or they might work a bit harder to keep the community safe. How have these people not been deported?
Good work Senator Paterson. Tired of these useless managers in our police services ‘seeming’ rather than doing. They’re all useless and because of that we are so unsafe.
