I caught this on The Africa Channel [Comcast channel 182 in the "ATL"] and just HAD to share. I've always been a fan of South Africa-born entertainer Jonathan Butler and am pleased that he does one of my favorites - "Lies" - in this offering. His beautiful daughter, Jodie Butler, helps with background/duet vocals.
I hope you all appreciate this. I had to record to DVR, then to DVD; then convert to mp4; then cut commercials, just to get this to ya. But, it was worth it. Giving truly IS it's own reward...

I've never heard a voice quite like Jonathan's and I'm so drawn to it. It's so beautiful and melodic...it's hard to explain but you can hear the humility before God in his voice. May God continue to bless him! :)

TO : JONATAHNA BUTLER AND FAMLY.....I want you to know that no matter where in the world you are ,you are Proudly South African. Jonathan butler is from my mother's generation. from Silverstreems in Manenberg. It was a place where kids could go to and not fear an violence. Jonathan if you can still remember there are a lot of people who still acknowledge your talent.

I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!!! I've always been a fan of Jonathan Butler, but to see him along with his beautiful daughter has really given me even more respect for him - as a believer of Christ and just as a good, down to earth person!!! I pray that I'll get to meet Mr. Butler and his family one day because it's so refreshing to see some good people succeed in the entertainment business. I pray for his continued success!!

Jonathan Butler is an amazing musician and role model. I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform live at least five times and I never get tired of his sencerity and raw talent. I ran into him in Southfield, MI last year when leaving a meeting at the Westin and he was so down to earth. I got to tell him personally what I thought of him and he was so humble. May God continue to bless Jonathan's ministry of music abundantly.

Saw him live in COLORADO many years ago. It was great, unforgettable. Purchased his CD, still enjoy it till this day. His music tells a message that all should be aware of. His music crossed national, racial, and ethnic barriers. He sings to all with joy
