I've been to three African capitals (Kigali, Kampala, and Nairobi) and one of the most populous cities in Africa (Lagos). Nairobi stood out the most to me. Definitely where I'm relocating to in Africa this year 😊
Loving this as Kenyan! My younger sister has a black American boyfriend who visited Kenya during the 2022 Xmas. He joined us at my parent's upcountry home where we slaughtered a goat and cooked many other types of food. He was amazed that in the upcountry we have electricity, a couple of fridges, running water in the house for the kitchen and bathrooms, and a tarmacked road right outside our home. He felt so at home that on the 2nd day of his stay, he was getting food from the kitchen by himself and we loved that 😀😀. This is in Nyeri County, Mathira Sub-county, or rather Mathira Constituency where you meet Mt. Kenya region Kikuyus.
I loved your video I am a white man born in Africa and lived there 32 years before I came to America I am 75 now and I am going back home I have to say to any black American that has not been to Africa you don't know what you are missing if you can afford it you really need to go to your roots and be proud of what Africa has become.
If you from Burundi, then definitely Kenya is home for you. But these AAS are from West Africa. They should go there. We ain't the same in Africa as their ignorant selves tend to think. AAS go to West Africa, East ain't home for you.
Kenya as a country is good but not as a people, people are f**ked up mentally and Psychologically deranged. Masai mara that's okay yeah. The country is fine the people are fucked up.

I'm an American nomad in Kenya for the first time (in Nairobi for 1 week then Kitale for 2 months) and I agree with everything you said. The weather is amazing and definitely don't need AC, the people are not aggressive unlike many other places I've been and everyone is just so friendly and seem genuinely happy and kind, I see Nairobi as a well-developed and beautiful city, the food is amazing, and the greenery! I feel safe and welcome here. I'm so grateful that this wonderful city has been my introduction to Sub-Saharan Africa. Great review.
Nairobi Kenya is a beautiful city but also VERY EXPENSIVE. For anyone planning to settle in Kenya temporarily or permanently, consider also small towns or rural areas. Life in rural areas can be very satisfying living on your own farm growing your own food, keeping your own animals, enjoying your peace and quite and spending less. Some less known small towns or rural areas to consider would be: 1. Athi River 2. Mtito Andei 3. Kericho 4. Matunda 5. Kakamega 6. Meru 7. Taveta 8. Kitale 9. Kirinyaga 10. Chemelil 11. Homa Bay 12. Naro Moru
@@Luhje THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING IN AN AREA CALLED Nakuru AS IM LOOKING TO DO JUST WHAT YOU MENTIONED BUT STILL CLOSE ENOUGH TO NEAR NAIROBI FOR BUSINESS
Welcome to my country and am soooo happy to see more of African Americans and other Africans from other countries like Jamaica (and other Caribbeans), Britain visiting Africa more. Karibuni sana.
Am from Congo and i literally grew up in Nairobi as i got there when i was 16 and left when I was 30. It is the most beautiful country i know and the people are the most wonderful i ever met! If i was to live in Africa, kenya is top on my list. Well, only issue i d face now is a residency permit. Back in the days, we used all tricks in the book including student passes...but all in all, of all african countries i have visited, kenya ranks top! Wonderful memories
The caption caught me! Am Kenyan and I love my African American people, I have interracted with most of you and all I want is y'all to come back home❤❤ you are always welcome
Kenya is a beautiful country. Nairobi is great. I'm certain you will also enjoy beautiful sceneries, wildlife, coastal beaches, mountain climbing, traditional foods, etc in other Kenyan cities too. Most welcome to our city
I keep telling my friends back in America that this place is a banger and they need to visit more, or even come live here. I know most would love it here. We are actually FREE 😊😊
Watched this with a smile… Africa has always been portrayed in a bad light. Its nice to see you guys shedding light and writing a new narrative. May you travel create good memories for you❤
I'm from Kenya but currently in Huntsville, Alabama. I feel good that someone unbiased painted my country in good light, for once.. It's good for a change! You guys enjoy your stay in Kenya! If you want good tours, I recommend three tour companies: 1.Tenmile Adventures 2.Bonfire Adventures 3.Endless Thrills Adventures Don't leave Kenya before going for adventurous safaris(game drives). It's the best for such! Adios Hakuna matata!
Welcome to Kenya, brother and sister. We love to see more and more Africans and African diasporans visit. We hope in the future that it becomes the norm.
I’m so glad y’all like it there. I’m a Kenyan living in Dallas and Village Market is my favorite joint whenever I go back for vacation. Ain’t nothing like V.M here in Dallas, not even Galleria mall. Enjoy yourselves there folks and stay safe!
Glad you enjoyed your stay in our city. Kenya is a beautiful country. Glad to see people paint the real picture of Africa, and the right side of the story, other than the untrue stereotypes and incomplete stories that have been long painted. Karibu Kenya.❤
The Ghanaian restaurant downstairs in the new area of the mall is pretty good. Enjoy the rooftop resturants at the hotel. There are couple of them, each with their own vibe and cuisine.
You are so honest and I love that. I have travelled to many other countries severally, and Kenya is a fantastic place. There is totally no need for air conditioning in Nairobi, but Mombasa and other coastal towns in Kenya, it's a must.
Thank you for providing this content. I wanted to visit Africa next year but have been searching for what country I want to visit first. I was thinking of going to Accra, Ghana and I have been hearing good things about Ethiopia, but after seeing your video, I am definitely considering Kenya as my first African visit.
I love this young couple. They are smart and come across as hard working! The guy is articulate and the wife is natural. No fake hair and stupid make-up! Very proud of them. This is the type of black people the melanated world needs and deserves! I'm happy to consume your content!
@@JoshOdhiambo if men had to have long hair and take care of it on a daily basis, we would probably have it glued on to our scalps..it's easier for us to judge without walking a mile in women's shoes. Women are constantly bombarded by the western ideal of beauty. Braids are also not real hair, but it seems to have a pass
Nairobi, the Green City under the Sun, Safari Capital of the World, Nai, and I can go on and so forth. I just had to share your video with a friend, him hearing it from me made it seem like I was being biased about my city so it was refreshening for you guys to put it out there ... pure and unadulterated content and for that, you've gained two new subscribers who both will support y'all campaign!
Thank you for your awesome review. You're part of the generation that is shaping the narrative of how Africa is perceived by the rest fo the world. Ths is so refreshing, keep up the good work and all the best in your travels.
Thank you so much for visiting Kenya and highlighting our Beautiful Country. Visiting Mombasa and Watamu on our East coast . Enjoy your Visit. I just subscribed. Shalom
Hello! RU-vid recommended you, and I loved watching till the end. I was born in Nairobi Kenya but we moved to the US in 1997. I always love watching these types of videos and see how Kenya has changed. My hubby is from Tanzania and we can’t wait to visit soon. Thanks for sharing! I will subscribe as well.
Thank you Freedom chasers for telling the truth about Kenya. You're most welcome again and again. I also believe people from diaspora watching this video will develop a positive notion about Africa and Kenya in particular.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Wow! Ya'll made me cry. This is like reverse tourism.... I've lived in Nairobi all my life.... I'm glad you liked it... and yes we don't need AC here. Has the best weather. 🙌🏾 Thank you for shedding positive light to Africa... also village Market is the best.... go to the hub in Karen as well.... sending you guys love... enjoy.... make sure you go to masaai mara if you can and the coast... diani
Now I’m hype to visit Kenya. We might go in May. Do you mind sharing the airbnb where you stayed? My kids love Milmani City Mall but I need Bid Mall Energy 🤣
That's my gym 🕺am actually watching this while seated in our gym cafe waiting for my clients😂 we ain't expensive compared to the location and what we offer the rent is crazily in that mall
I feel like I want to meet you and show you more about Kenya. Y'all look amazing and thanks for visiting Kenya. ❤ Things we take for granted in Kenya is just crazy
Welcome home my brother and sister in America. Africa is blessed and there is plenty, apart from the negative pictures portrayed outside there. I welcome you to come and even visit the villages and see how your African brother live. Welcome once again
Mombasa Kenya very nice too more of the tz vibe there though with more beaches…You should visit Uganda also very affordable and easy to communicate in English
Great video and thanks for sharing with the world your experience of my home Kenya 😍. I haven't been back in over 20 years, but it's developed rapidly. My mum went home between Dec 22 - March 23 and she had a fantastic time. She was like, "You'll not believe how different it is!" The only thing I'm disappointed about is I'll never be able to visit my childhood home in Kileleshwa, because they tore down all the houses in the estate to build high rises. It's really sad because the estates were still very modern and had unique architecture. I only have memories through photos 😭.
It’s really heartwarming to hear great things about your country and the pictures just beautiful. Village market was built in the 90s I believe. We have other malls with different themes examples The hub and Galleria in Karen, Garden city, Two Rivers, the Junction etc
Welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪 I saw this video and everything you guys said was spot on! Looking forward to more of your videos. I was in kenya earlier this year for a month. Really miss that place took me way back to memory lane when I was growing up there
