If we are to transcend the limitations and blockages of our Ancestors we have to move beyond the confines of this mindset and learn that certain things are for everyone..... We are one of the only races who says the door is open yet it is still being shut in our faces. Yes, it's true that Africa is the motherland but we are all different for a reason. Our differences should be celebrated. You would not see any of us in other cultural venues being presented to their own people. Why is it wrong for us to feel we should have something to show our own. Learning is for everyone, but culturally speaking on stage our people should see the beauty of their own.
Dear Sir/Madam, It's okay to express your sentiments about horrible things that have happened in the past or are still happening today. But please don't make the same mistake as those that you dislike by generalising white people as if they are all alike. We are not. There are good white people too, who have only admiration for the African culture, as these students are expressing by trying to learn some amazing dance from Guinea.

@goldphoenix9 thats not completelty true Blacks have proven to be the superior race we more athletic we have more phisical faetures that almost every race lust for or wishes to have and we have the strongest gene geneticly. we ARE superior. doesn't mean we should be ruling the world in a dictatation fation but it also doesn't mean we should be treated with so much disrespect
