I'm a haffu who was blessed to be raised by my American dad and Japanese mom. It's very difficult for ppl who are not to understand the deep questioning we face of how difficult for us as children to not be considered not enough of one ethnicity or the other. Some family members have treated us as outsiders or not accept us as part of "their " family.
It's the ABSENT FATHER'S obligation to call his daugther. Of course Mary Jane awkward and hesitant to ever call her absent father once again because of the rejection she had on the first place.
It's a shame what has happened to the Amer-Asains. You can just imagine how difficult life has been for them. I pray that they will get the closure they need.
God is Good and full of grace! Blair and Leah, you both are two amazing people put on this earth to serve and you are doing an amazing job of it. Bless you both.

I wonder if my grandfather had a child somewhere in the South Pacific. When he died in 1981, (I was 16) my grandmother found an old picture of an Asian woman. He was in the South Pacific during World War II.

the longing and rejection... 😢 mixed signals cause anxious of rejection of others, i became a caregiver because of my Dad too chances of taking care of him
I don't understand how anyone could not love a child just because they aren't a blood relative. My aunt who passed away last year adopted a girl from India and our family always treated her as if she's a part of the family because she was and she wasn't treated like an outsider. Just imagine where we would all be if God rejected all of us like some people do to others. Even though I'm not searching for a parent I want to thank you both for all of your hard work, dedication and love that you do for strangers to reunite families. You both and all others like you are truly angels. God bless you all.
If you can't say something nice, be quite! This is a struggle for children. Father's need to know and to care for their children. Blood is thicker than beer. God bless 🙏 & stay vigilant.
Mary Jean's case was very interesting to work. Initially she DNA tested with MyHeritage, after MH donated 40 DNA kits to Father Founded. She had a very high DNA match from their database, sharing 24% of the same DNA with a man who was in the US. He responded to the message Geoffrey Tayag sent him and then I was able to email him. Her half-brother was born in the Philippines and adopted by an Air Force officer and his family, they most likely share the same mother. He too is searching for his birth parents who are both Filipino.
What a nice video. I'm happy you find your father. I'm all so happy that your father is still alive, I feel live we have the same journey, because your father lives in New mexico, same like my. But my father is already dead and I never meet him personal, but I have a big family from my father side, I hope one day you can all so take the journey to visit your father,I wish you all the best.
These is maybe one of the reasons why the commanding general of the Armed Forces of the Philippines himself a descendant of an American serviceman placed several restrictions inside Filipino military camps housing US military personel when they are here for exercises. No going out when not on exercise or patrol with Filipino troops. No intoxicating/alcohol drinks inside the camps. While enterprising Filipinos are allowed to rent to to set up temporary shops inside those camps, they are made to sign MOA that no intoxicating/alcohol beverages maybe sold. Maintaining sanitation and interaction with the female staff of these shops is limited like no seating with the american GI's, no unncessary display of affection between the female staff and the american customers, no staff is allowed to go out with the American GI',s
Her adoptive parent’s family sound terrible, if they made negative comments about her. I was adopted also but never had any negative comments. I was born and bought up in England.
we have the same fate i was adopted by a single man and his siblings didn't agree because of the money he was a CPA accountant all his life he works for the whole family but so sad about greedy people/siblings just wanted his money... they make my life miserable because his not around when i grew up I'm just blessed with his Mom and 1 sibling treat me like a normal kid like they're own.
A beautiful story with a happy ending but we wish more of a happy ending. Perhaps the father or the mother had left in this world or alive but the fact the children left behind found the connection, the link to their roots is answered is fully satisfying and you made it possible Leah and Blair. Stay strong and courage. Yes your full of Empathy to do it. ❤️👍💐 n.b. sorry am late due time difference.

Howdy Blair & Leah, I'm so happy with y'all for helping others on this planet, I'm deeply touched emotionally, yea as a former musician in Subic bay, I've seen it all,and ya guys standing angels to all unfortunate Ameriasian children.I myself has 2 mixed Caucasian and Filipino.young boys.God bless y'all God bless United States of America.from Tx y'all.
If the American military made their men more accountable and involved proper moral standards in their service men a lot of these abandoned children would have had better lives.the standard of morality in soldiers is directly connected to their professional behaviour as not only soldiers but ambassadors and examples of their nations people.not only that but directly effects in a destructive effect on the lives of the nation's people they are serving in.service means serving your nation in a fit and proper manner,,not self serving without moral conviction.
This is so much better. You should use Leah more, have her do the voice-overs and interviews, it feels less paternalistic*. You don't have the voice for it Blair, you try too hard to sound oh-so sensitive and it just turns into cloying sentimentality. Allow your audience to empathise without getting in the way. I guarantee, the more you put yourself on the margins of these videos, rather than front and center with the selfie stick and all over the narration, the more effective they will be. The title and the voice over at 13:31 is simpy over-egging the pudding, use one or the other (I'd go for the title) but not both. And lose the adjectives and the superlatives, it should just say "That very evening", or something like that--allow the story to unfold itself, it's pretty obvious what's happening and it's more effective to allow her to be the protagonist of her own story. * I've been trying to put my finger on it and this is the problem Blair, try as you might you can't escape the taint of the 'White Man's Burden' perspective on the very valid issues you address on your channel. This is why it immediately feels better when Leah is the interlocutor rather than you. Sorry mate, you should stick to logistics, camera, sound and editing! I bet you'd get much better traction, too.
