I always say it. So imma say it here. At one time, Babyface was like Magic Johnson with the no-look pass to the inside cutter. He was a hit making machine, pure genius. One of the best.
DONT FORGET ABOUT THE DEELE AND BABYFACE WITH TWO OCCASIONS THE LP AND TWO OCCASIONS LIVE IN CONCERT THOSE ARE A MASTERPIECE FACE ON THE INTRO OF TWO OCCASIONS LIVE!!! Is EVERYTHING 😎🔥
So true - His Voice is Amazing, so much control and definition, Babyface said hes the best singer out of them all.. I can understand why he says this. So Effortless
My Family and I had the Honor and Privilege of see After perform Live of at all Places the Texas State State Fair. My Goodness still one of my Favorite Performances!
This is when music was great. To this day, I kept all of my vinyl, cassettes and cd's for music like this and others because I love this music that much. I am so glad that my younger self had love for good music to invest in buying everything that I loved and the good sense as I got older to keep it no matter what the new trends show. I also made sure to buy at least one piece of equipment to convert any of the formats into a digital format whenever I choose and still retain the original. People haven't really caught onto the fact that all the "digitized or streams" are NOT providing people with a way to truly own something they paid for, the recent shutdown of Google's music service put a spotlight on this and people were pissed. I hope people only on Spotify, iTunes, Pandora, etc don't learn that lesson again if any of them decide to shut down. In some cases, some of this music isn't available on streaming platforms as crazy as that sounds. Everyone figured that out when it came to Prince's music, again another time I was glad, I had not gotten rid of my actual collection. I was able to listen to everything being played on the radio and internet when he died and then went and digitized all my stuff and listened to it whenever and wherever I wanted, in whatever order I wanted. I was my own DJ. My go too for music remains something tangible that I can hold in my hand and know it is mine until I get rid of it.
Can’t nobody sing like Melvin Edmonds (R.I.P.) nor can anyone could replace him, this was a time when artists actually sung live and it sound better than the actual album version. Best believe they are still rotation with me.
Back then I only knew Babyface, but his brothers voices are undeniable didn't even know he had brothers that could sing like this. They should have been mega stars known to the entire world with those voices!!!!
@stryfetc1 Social Media has became a nightmare 😕 for people, no privacy can't even have an argument 🙄 privately. Especially younger people they think it's funny until it backfires in their face.🙎♀️💣
Hasn’t anybody noticed? Or it’s just me. When I first herd “Toni Braxton’s” debut album (just another sad love song, 7 whole days) on the air waves, I thought it was “After 7”. She was definitely marketing their brand I guess.
This is still my favorite male group. The Temptations were before my my time and probably ranked number one of all time. But during the 90s, no one could sing like them. Jodeci was right up there too. These brothers bring it.
Yes....Melvin ( May he R.I.P.)😔🍃 could Blow!!( Sing) as well as his brother Kevon....however let's not forget Keith!! This Brotha is a part of the group as well...and made the background harmonies....Complete !!!!( Just sayin)🙄🤔
I used to imitate Kevon all the time in high school lol. I think between him and Brian McKnight and Jodeci, that's how I perfected my singing voice lol
Wow, they magical. Soooo good.. Back when artists could sing live better than the recording. So underrated. Melvin had such a beautiful voice. #RIP Sir.
I wanted Kevon and Jesse Powell to do that Tevin Campbell challenge.... Ready or Not is a classic with great underrated singers. RIP Melvin and Jesse P 🙏🏾
Raw Footage and Ridiculous Classic!!! People like to say Melvin owned this song but I can't disagree more!!! KEVON owned this song.. To me, he outsings his brothers + Babyface with this. Beautiful falsetto and it's the song that made me a lifelong fan of his.. Love this. AFTER 7 FOREVER
STILL watching in 2022 and on and on! STILL a fan, STILL love their music, STILL loving when love and passion was a major part of music. Rejoice In Paradise Mr. Melvin Edmonds. Shout Out to After 7 and anyone that love their music. Big Shout Out to Babyface aka Kenny Edmonds (Melvin and Kevon's brother) and Keith Mitchell.
