Both Lestat and Marius were blonde....don't understand why they changed the hair color in this movie. But the actor who played Marius was great.

I think the actor is the only reason. Vincent Perez is natural dark featured and honestly would look pretty strange with blonde hair.

Marius was Roman and should have had dark hair. I know Ann Rice wrote him that way but she was wrong to do so.

I just found out that Stuart is Irish. He and Aaliyah might be blood related, because Aaliyah was mixed. They most likely made this movie to taunt her about liking Egyptian culture, etc. They seemed to be trying to create an incestuous situation, and make her look bad. I don’t think that scarlxord(Marius) deleted that 988 comment. Unfortunately, WB is connected to a lot of these movies…Batman 1989.

Pity Marius wasn't the sire of Lestat....too many chances to the original story, too many cuts. The whole movie wasn't so bad in the end. Stuart was perfect in my opinion, so dramatically sensual and theatrical, the soundtrack incredibly great ( maybe not enough goth but great), and I loved the costumes and the scenes. I know Anne hated it ...I understand, obviously, but the TV series that is corrently on it's a lot worse, a LOT more "altered", especially Lestat's characteristics ...that is not Lestat at all.
