Unfortunately the Ai file doesn't open every element in a single layer all I can see when I import it is the following layers foreground background buildings it is already separated in illustrator so why they are combines as 3 layers in after effect?!
I figured it out. In the video he says that all layers, including sublayers, must individually be their own layers. He just didn't show it in the video. So in either illustrator or photoshop, drag the sublayers on top of the main layers. A quick search online should help!
Nice video. Any chance of you producing a video which includes human characters that interact with each other? (for example, two of them walking towards each other and shaking hands). Whenever I add an imported multi-layer Ai file comprising one of these characters to the Ae comp panel it shows all the layers properly in the timeline. But when I add the second character to the comp panel it shows its layers in the timeline but the first character's image and layers disappear. And if I just add the file directly to the timeline no individual layers are displayed. I need both of them in the same comp panel and timeline so I can adjust their legs and arms accordingly. There are no videos on RU-vid or on the Adobe site showing how to achieve this and it is not covered in the Ae: Classroom in a book either. So if you could explain how to manage this I would be very grateful.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. This is my new favorite channel). I was wondering if you can do a tutorial on Dimitri chouvaeff's "A flat animations". These are so good and I have seen many people that really want to do that including me.
