Here's a tune by one of my favorite guitar players, and a fellow who has been a tremendous blessing to our family, Dr. John Knowles cgp. It's entitled "After Paris," and it is such an incredible mood piece. It always makes me think of Humphrey Bogart sitting alone after Ingrid Bergman leaves on that plane out of Casablanca. They'll "always have Paris," but seeing the depths of his sorrow, one can't help but wonder if that is a good thing. The thought that the rest of his life will always be "after Paris" echoes a meloncholy that finds good company with the tune.
I enjoy playing this one, and have been studying the drawing I recently did of my son, Nathan, at a cafe in Stausbourg while I play it...it kind of transports me. I hope I convey a little of that mood and setting.
For the guitar players out there, I do not have tabs, but you're in luck! Dr. Knowles teaches this tune one on one at www.truefire.com/finger…/jour...
