Where is the kid that told me Roman was going to bulldoze imavov because “he’s on another level “ people literally play pretend so much on RU-vid , my dad who was an all state wrestler but has no combat sports experience aside from watching me fight and train said literally 30 seconds into the fight “the taller kid is so much faster he’s playing with his food already “ and honestly that’s how imavov is he is so good but he literally just plays with his food I don’t know if it’s a concentration problem , cardio problem , herb should of stopped the fight Roman didn’t know what planet he was on at the end of the first round n it’s the reason he just tried to stall the fight against the cage the entire time because there was nothing else he could do he was too hurt and if he can’t get the fight to the ground his striking is just about as awful as I’ve ever seen at the top 15 level that he has no way to win the fight . He cannot throw his hands while bringing his feet with him it’s crazy how much I seen this at the highest level but it’s just from bad coaching , I know nitsick is great coach but he’s gotta coach all those bad habits out and under pressure you’re going to revert back to when you’re most comfortable doing

Dolidze and imavov both underperformed tbh, dolidze has no cardio at all, and imavov could have finished this fight any time he wanted but he didnt

I agree that show boating and smack talk sells fights, but this will be to the detrament of the closed up introverted fighter. I would believe that gyms would have to up the anty by smak talking at the gym. Instructors begin; Hey bubblebut why your puches so soft and the fighter would answer because looking at your face "I dont hit girls". something like that but I would think well thought out smak talk (Ala Chael) would make the fighter less likely to take anything said personally.

Boyo, you are preaching to the choir when you speak about the "Rules" and the glove changes that can and should be made. It is a travesty that for so many years nobody has done anything. I would chalk it up to ignorant fans who "just wanna see someone bleed". -But that isn't fair. It boils down to many organizations just needing to sell fights with a very simple premise that the audience can pick up and go with. Anyone new to a sport, has to learn new terminology and basic fundamentals of what they are experiencing. I think most promotions don't want to take the time or energy to educate their new fans. That job is left to the commentators or the other fans. (BTW I miss you as a commentator for the UFC.) I think the changes that should be made will slowly be made, although at a snails pace. MMA is still a very young sport. .
