Frieze Film is a series of commissioned artists’ films screened at Frieze London and showcased on Channel 4’s Random Acts strand; an experimental platform that allows artists to creatively express themselves through the medium of film. Glasgow based artist Rachel Maclean’s unique aesthetic makes her films instantly recognisable. She takes an Alice in Wonderland approach to her candy-coloured worlds, where situations and themes develop and grow to surreal proportions. Maclean’s postmodern approach draws on horror movies, talent shows and the world of television adverts. She offers a critique of contemporary culture, femininity and capitalism. “Again and Again and Again” continues her super-saturated satire with a look into the land of data-addicted monk-like figures and dance-crazed rabbits, all played by Maclean.
