Agalloch... I deeply thank you for having existed and year after year still do further on. Deep in me there is a precious room made for your bitter sweet and healing impact on my whole youth and beyond. your music has such power to move those hearts who are deepheartedly ready to really listen and open up to your gift. I could write some strong pages about my grattitude that your music permanently softened my troubled and deeply lost heart during hardest days and even through those of blooming beauty. That mark, that incredible mark that your work was able to leave in my very inner self is that precious i rarely talk about it to someone because of fear of messing with this secret soothing feeling I know for the time of 13 years. with two exeptions: my deeply beloved sister and a man i just met some time not long ago who like my sister had been able to touch my heart in akingly similiar ways as your art did and still does. I really see that now and I truely love him. I am that grateful for the feeling my soul has finally found home and feels understood as you allways gave that feeling to me. I hope I see this mighty spirit of your precious hearts reunite and enlighten my and all sensitive's peoples souls for one last time before it ends. I'm having the feeling that i wanted to share that since years ago, even if you don't ever read it. Your art has touched so many souls out there and warmed them during grimm inner winter. Never underestimate what you meant and mean to every single one of us. In loving rememberance and bitter- sweetest completation sincerely yours. For ever in my heart. I really miss you...

RANDOM STORY: back in 2008 or so, a friend of mine used to visit me cause he liked one of my neighbors, somehow shes got a hold of a cd with a bunch of bands, my friend knew shit about bands and this music, but he pretended he cared and took it with him to have an excuse to visit her again lol... later that day I noticed that disc on my table, I decided to give it a try and it was a blast for me, i fell in love with Agalloch from that day, it had the whole discography missing the last 2 records, bottomline, none of them would have appreciated what was inside the cd as much as I did and I thank the gods or destiny for this memory... I have always wonder who gave it to her tho.. and why!!

Saw Agalloch in 2013 the night before setting out on a long section hike of the Appalachian Trail. Couldn't listen to them on the trail, yet the music was always with me inside, floating through my head. Best 2 months of my life. Life-changing

I special-ordered this CD when it came out. Clocking countless listens over the past eleven years, I find myself back to it yet again today. One of my absolute favourite EPs in existence. It serves as a wonderful complement to The Mantle and Ashes Against the Grain: Agalloch at their best in my opinion.

Back in 2008 or 2009, I have no idea why I ended up clicking that advert on... was it another metal band's MySpace?... for a band with a cool sounding name. "Agalloch". I normally never click ads. Oh, how the smallest actions can have huge consequences.

Am I the only one who actively feels transcendent when listening to this? Everything I’ve heard up to the point of discovering this is nothing in comparison. To the uploader, thank you.

on one hand, it disturbs me how well youtube knows me that it always recommends such swell albums, or when it tosses such magnificent masterpieces into my ears on random songs that just pop up while im writing. yet, on the other hand, being predictable is not really so bad, because it gives me ample opportunity to hear such swell music form all over the world. i'm 45 now, and during the past decade, I've had the good fortune to hear many an awesome and seemingly countless band play in my ears, and I've come to realize a long time ago how fortunate we are in this day and age to be able to experience all the awesome music, but at the same time, i also realized long ago, that in no way would I ever be able to digest all the awesome music contained by youtube in my lifetime. this seems like a great musical catch-22. I guess I'm fine with that, because I still have the chance t o hear awesome music in my lifetime, while many people never escape what they know, they fall prey to their own tastes, and never experience all the epic music that exists. so, I guess I feel bad for them, because their musical lives suck, they are just too stupid to know it. I gotta say, this ep is beyond awesome. thank you agalloch for being stupendous musicians
