I agree, especially for Sakura and Sasuke. They got married months after Hinata and Naruto, but didn’t even properly court each other. Imo had been dating Sia for a while, and Chouji would travel to the hidden cloud village to see Karui as often as he could. But Sakura… was always waiting for Sasuke, and the couple times he did interact with her it was very brief, or Sakura was knocked out and didn’t even know Sasuke was there till Naruto told her. I get Sasuke pretty much said he’d wait for Sakura before he elf Tom his redemption journey, but still, they hardly ever communicated after that.

And there is likely a bit of a caste system where shinobi clans that have strong jutsu aren't likely to share it with average civilians. For instance the Uchiha and Hyuga sound like they must have to be very careful about marriages within and outside of the clan to make sure they don't get inbred or let their prowess slip outside of the clan's control. So marriage outside of other Shinobi is probably kind of rare except for Shinobi of middling talent who pick mates outside of the shinobi talent pool or aren't concerned with maintaining or improving their standing in the Shinobi world. This would be especially true in a society where you are almost always at war or on the brink of it creating some very martial families.

While somewhat true, part of that is just anime standards. When the average hero cast is around mid to late teens (aka high schoolers), anyone in their 20s is old. And Japan especially likes to show over 25 as being old since after high school the work force soaks up your time and soul. That's why the water village kage has the running joke about not being married, she's a "Christmas cake", she's older than 25, thus not wanted.

Exactly. I've proposed this question all the time but like. In a world with war and where you could die and at one point the age was like 30 and you were expected to be dead. Why would you overly care about like 18-25 I bring up 25 because that's the age people say you get fully mentally matured so if use that imagine both parents being 25 having a kid at like 26 and being dead 4 years later. I dont really think that age matters the feelings matter most my ex was 4 years older than me and i was in high school (18 years old) and my sister's boyfriend is like 8 years older than her(they married btw, my opinion: one of the most successful relationships i've ever seen).i think maturity dont comes with age it comes with hard contitions, early responsibilities, hard decisions etc ( i like older girls cause in my case girls of my age was egocentric, egotistical and ungrateful people some serious and annoying characters out there)so i really dont consider age one of the important things in a relationship(if you have doubts in a relationship about trivial matters is going to be on stand still (trivial to those who have the same thinking as me no offense to people who think otherwise)) there are more serious matters to "solve".

We change schools,move to different places etc...but their everyone stayed in konoha,grew up as a team and same year students often get toghether for missions..so its not really unbelievable that most married thier classmates since they are toghether for such a long time

@@DygoKnight just because they started having interest but you forget the missing timeliness how long it taken from them passing the exam till starting the final chunnin exam where shikamaru and temari got interested when they fought. Plus the political tensions between sand and leaf due to backstabbing their alliance which would take long months to Years to heal trust which would not look good if temari and shilamaru dated early which was why temari and shikamaru had to be representatives to establish peace with reporting together during those years as both became chunnin. Which would make sense they got to know each other and establish friendship with later expanding more from their relationship
