As someone who really just needs refreshers on well.... everything, your videos are perfect. You give us what we need to prep and remember the important things while not filling our heads and time with unnecessary or complicated information. You have saved me from many a breakdown. Thank you. I know there were a lot of these comments on your last video but I wanted to say that I too would really like an inequalities video. Thats one of the few subjects I feel I have never learned before so its a bit overwhelming.
For me, these age questions baffled me like no other. Thank you, Phillip for the clear explanation. I really appreciate your effort in making these helpful videos.
so insightful....i am writing the GRE on the 3rd of november....couldnt have been a better time to see your videos....they are really helping me as i juggle between work and EMBA exams period and the GRE....GOD bless you!!!
Thank you for all the hard work you do to help us with these tests. You explain these complicated concepts more simply than any math teacher I've ever had!
Thank you for this wonderful video clip. It eased my understanding in dissection word problem and translating them into equation for simplicity. Great job.
Thank you for this video Philip! I have become a regular student of yours now! Watching your videos makes me solve the questions more easily and with a simple yet effective approach. Kudos to you sir.. You have been a blessing. Every student deserves a sir like you.. May god bless you with loads of happiness!! Have a great day sir! Love from India! 😄❤
I do not know what I would do without your videos! Thank you for simplifying various quant topics and highlighting key points. Please keep continue being amazing!
That last one was so tricky but I was able to figure it out by the end! Wouldn't have understood it without your explanation of how to get there -- thank you!!
Hello philip, Your videos have helped a lot for my GRE prep.A friend of mine gave GRE today and she scored 299 she told me GRE was really tough. so just wanted to ask you if the GRE level has increased. Adding on to that your videos have really help me gain a lot of knowlegde I need for GRE quant section, it has also plunge my math learning. Thank you soo much.. I am giving my Exam of 19th of NOV.
Thanks again Philip! Wording or phrasing of the last question wasn't hard for me, but I really struggle with phrases, such as "half as many A as there are B", "Tina was half as old as Ron" or "3 times as many boys as girls". Could you please give some tip for such phrases, if you have?
In the second case, I found it easier to solve for E, eliminating U, and them just plug E to get U. Because them we don't need to multiple both equations -- they are already ready. But of course, for didactical purposes, the explanation was pelucid :)
Dear, will you please make a video on mixture question? I have been struggling with it lately. I am in need of it. I believe you are the only person who can get me out of this trouble. I hope i will have one soon. Thanks.
@@TheTestedTutor Yes. Thanks. I may have to rewatch it. Didn't know that weighted average from statistics intersected with the word problem of mixture question. I am facing difficulties while working on mixture questions like i get lost in the process of wordy question.
@@TheTestedTutor dude help me out while you still can. I basically want to tell you about mixture word problems like 'Two solutions of 90% and 97% purity are mixed resulting in 21liters of mixture of 94% purity. How much is the quantity of the first solution in the resulting mixture?' this type.
Hey Philip this is amazing vedio but there are some standard world problems in gre like Club members questions, 30 tickets sold , or a person is in a line etc so can u do vedio top word problems?
@@TheTestedTutor Haha lol! I am preparing for my gre, in my mock tests I am seeing this type of word problems which I am not able to score so that's why!
I need help on this question : In four years Phil will be half Tim’s Age . Two years ago, Tim was five times Phil Age. How old is Phil now? I know how to set up the equations but don’t know how to solve them ... T+4= 2(P+4) T-2= 5(P-2)
Simply you can find P by using the value of T from first equation. i.e. (T= 2p+4). When T= 2p+4, then 2P+4-2=5p-10, i.e. P = 4. Now use that 4 in first equation you will get 12.
Haha some of these questions are the hardest I have seen. Particularly towards the end. Just because I make it sound easy doesn't mean it is. Try pausing all my quant videos and answering yourself first.
Hey Philip thankyou for this awesome video. could u plz make one on series and sequences in Gre (basic concepts as well as tricky Gre related qs ) Thankyou
Hi I would love to discuss with you a specific question that seems like a contradiction to what you explain right here. Kindly let me know what is the best way to reach out to you. I appreciate your time!
@@TheTestedTutor You mentioned in the last example that "Giving affect both sides" but I tried to solve another question from here : greprepclub.com/forum/mark-has-twice-as-many-oranges-as-george-tony-has-10-fewer-17844.html I cannot get the right answer and when I look at the solution from others they don't apply the giving to both side. Can you tell me why that is the case? Thanks!
for the first equation you subtracted $500 from one side and added it to the other. Why did you subtract the $200 from the second equation but not add it to the other side?
