Just discovered and download chivalry and that is very fun and is giving me time to prepare. Noticing from genoas architecture, you really made good improvements to their buildings! Overall im just really hyped for the release of this@!
I was in 7th grade when I first saw this video, and now I'm finishing grad school. I literally can't believe it's been nearly a decade since AoFE was released, it really doesn't seem that long ago at all.

On a side note as some guys on the comments already noted , i'd love to see some more games commented by you.Seems to me that u can be a great commentator!( at least do some more Forgottenempires casts if u can spare the time :D )
It has to be overpowered: it is a castle unit. Other UU replace gold unit like longbowman instead of arbalest (more armor, more attack, more range, less gold), this UU replace an unit that can be trained in industrial numbers.
1. Magudais still counter scorpions and onagers when you use the space out formation. 2. Those tech tree edit still apply in current AoFE, try watching new updated videos that feature Magyars in twitch.tv/forgottenempire.
1. Mangudai ARE powerful, but the attack bonus vs siege is completely and utterly useless: a mangonel can one shot a group of mangudai easily, or at least inflict some serious damage before dying. Don't even get me STARTED on rams; they have so much pierce armor that it really doesn't matter: bonus or no bonus. 2. Magyar Huszars and plain ol' Hussars aren't that different. Magyar Huszars are just a little more powerful.
The only problem is that the real magyar huszárs of that age looked exactly like the spear holding ones. Especially their shield and helmet. The original one looked like it came from Byzanthine or Greece. Trust me I'm Hungarian.
Yet Mongol Mangudais lose their attack bonus vs siege except rams due to the AoFE changes, but cost 65 gold while Magyar Huszars steal that bonus while they cost no food with Magyar UT Mercenaries, along with everything you mentioned.. Seems unbalanced when you compare both UUs.
Jack, this is perfectly balanced: 1. Mangudai are overpowered. 2. Magyar Huszars need that bonus to differentiate themselves from normal Hussars. Also, normal Hussars cost no gold. Plus, Magyar Huszars can be easily countered by halberdiers or kamayuks(so boss) and are pretty weak units in combat. See ZeroEmpires Magyars preview.
The Magyars do not get: -Plate Mail Armor -Siege Engineers -Keep or Bombard Tower -Fortified Wall -...or Stone Shaft Mining. I think that more than makes up for it. Magyars also do not get Siege Onagers or Siege Rams.
Sooo that means Fraps is getting blocked all because he included a color fix with the widescreen. Is there anyway I can get just the Widescreen fix but not the color fix so I can record the ingame footage, or can you tell me how you do it yourself? I seriously hate how I run into every other dumb problem in the world of things far more than others do. How are you recording all this ????? It doenst make sense, you obviously must not have any issues with recording Age - along with everyone else :\
I have a serious question that no one else has ever asked or apparently never had an issue with. UGH. The widescreen patch; after Ive got it running and all, using that patch ingame - when I hit the record hotkey for Fraps, IT DOESNT record at all!! It merely records a few seconds of anything. At the moment it doesnt record at all. I can easily record it if I dont use the patch. Im sure its because the author tells the windows explorer to stop working which means all windows programs are blocked
Sorry I didnt mean to be to sound malicious in my comment, but you kind of seem to pop up everywhere to reply to my comments(e.g.the rick ross video but deleted the comment) and you can't seem to let a argument go no matter how much I show you(you did start with argument anyways). Anyways you and I disagree on many things and theres no means to convince each other on behalf of our opinions, so lets just end with that, and take it easy. Peace.
Persian-I was talking about missing techs like Siege Engineers. Goths- Yes thats their strength but again I was talking about missing tech similaties with Magyars. Huns- Yes they have Paladins and train Tarkans at stable but Magyars have Paladins as well, cheaper hussars, UU that cost as much as normal hussar(80 f) but hella op for their price considering thier stats like 11 attack like Elite Tarkan, full archery tech, more military upgrades than Huns like Champions and better armor.

Compare that to Mongols weak cavalry and ranged units with no plate armor and ring archer armor, no halberds, nerfed navy(no Elite Cannon Galleons), and expensive siege and UU. Magudais are weak vs MHs and strong vs polearm infantry while MHs are weak vs polearm infantry and strong vs range units(including Magudais), of course every unit are gonna have their weaknesses.
So question here, the stone and gold in the middle of the pit-- is that randomly generated? it seems like a lot of the stone is grouped together, which can cause map imbalances in my opinion. I don't know if this is simply because the map got "unlucky" to do that or if its the same map played over and over? I just just told you other there are other civs don't have thoses techs and there are also many civs with weak defense but you don't see them with a near perfect military tech tree like Persians for example. If you don't agree with me that Magyars are a broken civ then thats cool, but that doesn't mean you have to get self-righteous with your opinions and force them on me.
2. Magyar Huszars and plain ol' Hussars ARE that different. Magyar Huszars are just way powerful if you consider the cost (90 f) along with a UT that makes them cost no gold making Magyars a non-gold dependent civ and great in late 1vs1 games where gold runs out. Though they should get a very small bonus in siege though.
Magyars are still a broken civ nonetheless. There are many civs that are missing all if not most of those techs(e.g. Huns, Goths, Slavs) but you don't see them with a full archer and full cavalry techs along with decent infantry(champion and halberds that only miss squires and last armor upgrade).
No squires or last infantry armor isn't much of a loss for the Magyars, a full infantry line is what makes them decent, thats better than a civ that has no halberdiers(Turks, Mongols, Saracens) or champions(Persian, Huns, Mayans).

The map they're playing is called "Gold Rush" which is designed specifically like that, a ton of gold (and stone) in the center of the map, and control over those mines are the key to victory
I like how the Gray/Silver Team is black on the mini map now.... No more confusing units with stone ...hahaha. And this is why yellows the worst color, because you get confused with gold.
I think the magyar husarz are overpowered. With the unique tech, they cost +10 food than normal husars, they have +30 hp and +4 ap and even attack bonus v siege
